These boards are from the Black Dirt collection. Black Dirt technology is a new technology developed in Florida by my friend Drew Baggett. The material is beautiful, detailed, artistic, and highly engineered. It results in a loose, flexible, and buoyant board that's super lightweight.

It's based on a stringerless ultra-light EPS blank, with the rails and deck glassed with fiberglass woven with carbon at a 90-degree angle. The carbon fiber covers the deck and rails, making it stiff and strong enough to prevent the board from breaking. However, the lack of carbon on the bottom makes the board not too stiff, but strong. This combination results in a surfboard that is loose and flexible, yet strong and will not break easily.

What makes Black Dart unique is that it has clear fiberglass woven at 45 degrees to the carbon fiber oriented at 90 degrees, which allows us to combine tints and pigments to create these unique and beautiful boards.

With tints, the clear fiberglass is tinted, but the carbon fiber remains black, which gives these unique looks. This is a pink and white tint. This is a black and pink opaque resin.

This board has a clear bottom, allowing you to see the EPS foam, and the deck is laminated with a white opaque resin, which is great in hot weather as it doesn't heat up the carbon and makes it harder for the wax to come off. This deck is a purple tint all over, with no black areas, giving it a blue and purple mix, and the bottom is clear.

Of course, Black Dart also has stock boards of various models and sizes, but I think you can enjoy making an impactful custom order using your favorite model and size, as well as tints and pigments.

This unique artistic design, with its classic look featuring pin lines in tints and pigments, but made with cutting edge manufacturing methods and materials, the Black Dart is lightweight, lively and extremely capable in small waves.

The wave quality in Florida and Japan is very similar. The Black Dart, developed in Florida where there are many small waves with little power, excels in such waves. Florida is famous for its small waves, and the wave quality is similar to that in Japan, so it's easy to see why this board works so well in Japan.
Fun, light, flexible and great looking, that's Black Dirt Technology!
