3.0 STUB DRIVER

Developed with Kolohe Andino, this all-new, high-performance model is a step-down version of the DRIVER 3.0 model for everyday surfing. The 3.0_STUB model is the result of extensive research and development. It follows on from the recently released DRIVER 3.0 and is designed for surfers looking for the ultimate driving machine. It handles the typical soft 1-3 foot wave conditions that most of us experience every day. Everything has been designed to deliver even better performance in lower wave heights. As the name "Stubbed" suggests, this is a ripping machine that delivers high-performance surfing with a stubbed tail.

Unlike the SUB DRIVER series (one of our step-down performance boards), the 3.0 STUB doesn't feature a vee in the tail. Instead, it features a seamless rocker and concave combination. This is the main difference between the two models. While significantly looser than the DRIVER 3.0's rocker, it's still loose and lively, allowing for a quick and easy release under your back foot. It fits into smaller pockets and quicker dampers than the SUB DRIVER with ease. It's perfect for small beach breaks. Swapping between the DRIVER 3.0 and the 3.0 STUB maintains a similar feel and rideability thanks to the similar rocker, bottom contour, and outline. That was our goal and the result. After riding serious waves on the DRIVER 3.0, Kolohe wanted to feel like he was riding the same board on T-Street and Trestles in smaller waves. While the SUB DRIVER feels different, Kolohe needed a step-down board that would seamlessly transition between the DRIVER 3.0 and the 3.0 STUB. Our WQS crew: Crosby Cola, Cole Houshamand, Eli Haniman, and Michael Dunphy tested it and gave us immediate positive feedback, and now they carry it with them wherever they surf.

If you're a surfer with a passion for performance surfing and riding performance surfboards, the 3.0_STUB is for you. It's designed to be ridden one inch shorter than the DRIVER3.0, and the stock dimensions reflect that. For example, if you ride a 6'0" DRIVER3.0, the 5'11" 3.0_STUB is perfect. Combined, they create the perfect combination of modern high-performance weapons.

Features: Compared to DRIVER3.0 - The nose area is slightly wider and the rocker entry is looser.
-Light hip and wide tail block (not as wide as the Sub Driver) with loose tail rocker.
-It is wider overall, with more thickness in the nose and at the rear.
- A deeper single and double concave combination with ample rail curve for more lift in the quieter areas.
-Slightly flat deck with soft and forgiving rails.
