A report from the WSL Masters Championship!

Full of familiar faces for older surfers! Report on the WSL Masters Championship! This is a report on the WSL Masters Championship, which was held last September on the beautiful island of São Miguel in the Azores archipelago in Portugal. The WSL's newly established World Masters Championship From the LOST team, Michael Ho will be the Grandmaster over 55 years old. Derek Ho and Shane Beschen participated in the master class for those under 55. The following 12 players participated in the master class under the age of 55: Jake Paterson (AUS) Shane Beschen (USA) Luke Egan (AUS) Matt Hoy (AUS) Fabio Gouveia (BRA) Damien Hardman (AUS) Sunny Garcia (HAW) Dave Macaulay (AUS) Joao Alexandre (PRT) Tom Curren (USA) Gary Elkerton (AUS) Derek Ho (HAW) Besides Shane and Derek, There were two other surfers riding LOST surfboards. The two are Luke Egan and Damien Hardman. These two will face off against each other on the MAYHEM board in the quarter finals. Luke Egan advanced to the semi-finals. In the semi-finals, Shane Beschen and Luke Egan The MAYHEM board match was played and Shane Beschen won, advancing to the finals! The winner was Dave Macaulay and Shane Beschen was the runner-up!
