Simply put, the STEP DRIVER is a direct evolution of the DRIVER 2.0 model, a high-performance step-up model for riding big waves with ease. Designed for higher levels of performance surfing It's designed to take performance surfing to the next level, allowing you to maneuver and tube in bigger waves. Choose a board that's at least 1-2 inches longer than a DRIVER 2.0 model or a similar high-performance shortboard. Also, keep the width roughly the same, but choose a slightly thicker board to make it easier to catch waves and not miss out on the big ones. The STEP DRIVER's excellent control makes it a smooth transition from your everyday board, without sacrificing performance in bigger waves. Competition proven by elite teams This model has been tested in powerful waves around the world and proven in competition by many riders, including Olympians Kolohe Andino, Carissa Moore, and Caroline Marks, World Tour riders Griffin Colapinto and Yago Dora, freesurfers like Mason Ho and Ian Crane, and up-and-coming members like Crosby Colapinto and Eli Hanniman. The STEP DRIVER is a new model that meets all the demands of our entire team. Choose a length that's 1-2 inches longer for powerful, challenging waves. The Step Driver will enable you to ride more powerful, more challenging waves. You'll feel like the wave is head-sized and playful. We recommend choosing a board about 1-2 inches longer than your everyday board. If you use a Driver 2.0 (or a similar high-performance shortboard) as your quiver and want the perfect board for special occasions (or when you're lucky enough to visit places like Hawaii or Indonesia and hit some of their regular waves), then add the Step Driver to your quiver lineup.
