Learn more about the new Powerbase FIN System.

Power Base Fin System Regarding the new Power Base FIN system that I wrote about in yesterday's blog, We have received many inquiries, so we would like to explain in detail again. The legs of the Power Base FIN itself are shaped like this, When attaching the fin, turning and screwing in the fin pushes the fin downwards, making it stick tightly to the board body. *This is important. The fins that come with boards equipped with the Power Base FIN system are: In this way, it can be attached to boards with FCS plugs and used. Conversely, for the Power Base FIN System plug, This means you can still use the FCS fins you've been using up until now. The price of a board equipped with the Power Base FIN system is The 3-fin version costs 5,250 yen more than the FCS plug board, and the 5-fin version costs 8,400 yen more. The Power Base fin system is also available for Poly boards. Of course, it can also be installed on XTR boards. He also has a track record on the World Tour. The first place prize was $300,000 (approximately 25 million yen). This is the fin used by Owen Wright, who moved from FCS to POWER BASE, to defeat Kelly at the WT event in New York.

This is a flex test video of the evolved "FLEXLITE-TURBO".

Placebo has a great flex and the turns are extended. I'd like to ask someone who actually rides a board, how much does it bend? Also, the board is said to be strong, but is it really that strong? This will instantly clear up any doubts you may have. Check out this flex test video. Nishii can stand on the bottom of the board with his shoes and it doesn't get dented. Even if you put your entire weight on the board, it will not break. Imagine doing the same thing on a Poly board. Placebo was just evolved from "FLEXLITE" to "FLEXLITE-TURBO" material in March last year. Experience the performance and durability of the wildly popular FLEX-LITETURBO. New resin color glass lamination video posted on Facebook page!

Today's waves are slightly bigger than yesterday. The forecast is for it to get bigger over the weekend. When the tide is out you can see the shape of the bottom very well. During high tide you can paddle over these rocks. Lost Surfboards' new color resin glass laminated boards are lined up. This was the process of installing the leash cup. Take a look under the stand where the surfboard is placed. Resin has fallen and hardened, creating this pattern. The special color resin glass laminated board The person sanding is "Tristian" from France Paul, who also came to San Clemente from France, is laminating glass. This is the LOST Japan-exclusive model "ORCA" designed for the super small waves, super crowded Shonan area. http://www.luvsurf.co.jp/camp/orca.html Here's a video of Paul glass laminating this board. The leash cup is also made of colored resin, ``Paul.''

The road to LOWERS, We will pass through places like this. The point guide map includes detailed information on recommended boards to use and wave quality. Today's LOWERS. The waves are very small, so 2-5 people can ride as much as they want. Although it is small, the set is from waist to chest and is of good quality. To the LOST factory I went to see the new Lost Color Board that had been completed as an addition. The new Lost Color Board that was posted on the blog yesterday received a great response, so here are some more photos. The leash cup is also made of colored resin. Glassing only the mark to make it shiny This person has a technique that I have never seen before. This is Paul from France.

We created a space for Luvsurf boards and prepared for the peak season.

Today's LOWERS. It's Friday in California and there's a three-day weekend starting tomorrow, so I wonder if everyone is busy with work or something? The waves were smaller than yesterday, so it was empty. The roads were crowded. This is what the waves look like from the beach. Even though they're small, they're big enough to get chest-high sets. Nishii surfed an evolved version of his 5'6" FQ because it was high tide. After that, I went to the DMV in San Clemente to renew my driver's license. I've been in California since January 5th, and it's been sunny every day with little wind and warmer than usual. It was actually scheduled to start next week, but I was so happy to see Nishii's new desk at LOST Surfboards that I went there again today. We have also installed the printer and are looking forward to full operation starting next week. Help me organize the surfboards in the warehouse. We've created a board rack space for Luvsurf and are preparing for the upcoming peak season. These boards are used by famous pros and are displayed near the entrance. In the photo, the board on the far left is the one Corey Lopez rode in Skeleton Bay in the REDUX movie. This is the original round nose fish that Cory rode in the 5'5" VHS video about 15 years ago. "Luvsurf USA INC" opens inside LOST Surfboards headquarters!

Today's LOWERS. There seems to be a bit of a southerly swell, which is rare in winter, so the waves look good, but there was no surf today. I went to an accounting firm in IRVINE that handles Luvsurf USA INC, the US subsidiary of Luvsurf Japan. We have begun the process of relocating our office to the LOST Surfboards headquarters in San Clemente. This is the exterior of LOST Surfboards headquarters in San Clemente. All LOST surfboards shipped within the US and around the world are gathered here. We have now completed setting up a desk in this room on the second floor. Nishii will be working here from next week while he is in the US. We will be able to deliver the latest information about LOST surfboards to people in Japan more quickly and directly than ever before. The first delivery of 2012 has arrived from LOST Clothing. These latest clothing items will be available on Luvsurf by the end of January, so stay tuned!

We heard that a north swell was coming, so we headed to Mexico on short notice!

There was a north swell coming in for just one day, so we headed to Mexico at dawn! Driving from the USA to Mexico, this is the border gate. The fence with the lamp is the border fence between Mexico and the United States. As dawn broke, we passed near the Bahama Ridge. Unmanned waves keep appearing! There was no one there and no one surfing, but the waves were amazing. This is the rest stop for today. The waves are a powerful, light reef break with barrels. Today there were only five surfers in the ocean at most. The famous San Miguel. Here we are with Sho & Kei's father, Mexico expert Masaki. At the back of the peak is the mouth of the river, and this is where you can get out. It has more than twice the power of the Trestle and the hollow wave quality means you can ride twice the distance. At the border on the way back, I was subject to a random computer-selected inspection. It took a while to get into the USA.

Thank you for purchasing so many new boards in 2011!

Mr. A, He chose the Placebo BLACKSHEEP FLEXLITE-TURBO. He was having trouble deciding between the 5'6" and 5'8" sizes. We thought it would be best to see the actual product and get advice before making a comparison, so we called in advance to check the stock of the two sizes. The customer came to our store and was pleased to see that the design was even cooler than in the photos and videos on the website, and that the product seemed to be in good condition. Mr. B, Placebo's "RIPQUEST" FLEXLITE-TURBO was selected. He was riding a 6'2" Conquest, but he had improved and lost over 10kg. He was looking for a slightly thinner board that was easy to ride, and found the PLACEBO to be excellent in durability and cost performance. He really liked the easy-to-ride, high-performance design, and this time he purchased the RIPQUEST. His size is 6'1". Mr. C said, The customer chose Placebo's "SUB-SCORCHER" FLEXLITE-TURBO. I had been riding a Poly board from another manufacturer for several years, but because I surfed almost every day, it quickly became dented and broke. My friend surfs almost every day because it's not economical, but when I looked at the Presto that he's been riding for over two years, it was incredibly clean. She had decided to go to PLACEBO next time. She chose the size 5'10". Mr. D, LOST "SUB-DRIVER" POLYESTER was chosen. He was currently riding a 6'2" F1 model. It was a standard squash tail tri-fin board. Of the many current MAYHEM models, which design seems to be the best? After consulting with us, we recommended the latest "SUB-DRIVER" model, which the customer purchased. Mr. E, The customer chose LOST's "SCORCHER" XTR 3D CARBOLIC. He brought his Placebo 6'2" CL-PRO model to the store. We had him carefully consider the board, comparing its buoyancy volume with several other boards on offer in the store. The F1-STUB model was also a candidate, but if it were produced in the same size, the CL value would be slightly higher than the F1-STUB model. This "SCORCHER" model was chosen. This Lost Surfboard made from XTR 3D CARBOLIC material is available now at a great price with a 10% off sale to take advantage of the strong yen ! Everyone!
