On Saturday, I went surfing at Rincon in Santa Barbara.
The waves have been rising since yesterday and it looks like it's going to be good, and when I checked the morning wave information, I saw overhead size swells coming in.
Believing in the forecast that the wind would die down in the afternoon, we drove about two hours north from Orange County to Rincon for the first time in a long while with our son Jay.
Once I took off, I enjoyed the long right break waves that I could ride for a very, very long time.
The surfboard is of course the Black Sheep build of the extremely popular Round Nose Fish 96.
I went into the ocean intending to surf for about two hours, but the waves were good so I ended up surfing for about four hours.
