Since its inception, the SUB DRIVER has enjoyed success in competitions as a competition surfboard for small waves. Starting with Kolohe Andino's five WQS wins in 2011, Mick Fang found a dirty SUB DRIVER that Kolohe had discarded in his backyard after wreaking havoc on an Oakley Lower Pro, and rode it in a Lowers World Title contest. He surprised the world with his unique surfing, winning heats. Riding the SUB DRIVER, Mick said, "It completely changed my perception of what a competition board should be."
