I returned to Japan yesterday from California and Mexico. While there, I spent every morning surfing with Lost shaper Mayhem. The photo shows a beach break called "Riviera" in San Clemente. It's a place lined with cool beachfront homes, making me dream of living in a place like this. The waves are powerful and barrel-like, making it the ideal beach break for enjoying a variety of waves year-round depending on the swell direction. The two boards in the photo are Mayhem's recent favorites: a round-nose quad and a four-fin shark. Mayhem would launch these two boards on the beach every day, testing them out and comparing them. In California, there were a lot of people riding four-fin boards, including those from other manufacturers!

The new Lost beach towels, which are shown in the photo with Mayhem and me, have arrived at Love Surf. They are a rare item that is only available at Love Surf in Japan.
