The boat moved last night and was anchored in Macaroni Bay this morning. When I woke up, beautiful, long, head-high waves on the left were breaking in a steady stream.
You don't have to wait for the set waves to come, but once they did, the waves were small but worthy of the name world class, breaking.
The waves that day were head-high and easy to ride, so the young pros had fun trying out the trendy Alaiyas that Adam, the cameraman who was accompanying them, had brought. What was surprising was that Tetsuta and Kenta were able to ride the Alaiyas well enough to control them in a switch stance.

The boat then moved to a left point called Sanders.
It took about three hours from Macaroni, and on the way the boat passed close to inhabited islands, so the cell phone (iPhone 3G) I brought from Japan worked and I was able to call Japan.
When we arrived at Sanders, there were bigger, more digging waves breaking than we had seen before.

The waves were good, so there were other boats and it was crowded at its peak. Among the boats was Indie Trailer No. 4, which can store a heliport and several jet skis, and I was fascinated by its size and luxurious equipment.
The break was crowded, but I had never surfed at Sanders before, so I decided to try it out when there was a little space at the peak before sunset. The waves were very powerful and I was able to catch some good waves.
