Featuring some of the most famous surfers of the time, "Wave Warriors III" includes Gary Kong Elkerton's sunset attack; Martin Potter, who was at the forefront of hot dog surfing at the time, performing at OTW and CA; and Mark Richards, Tom Curren, and Gary Elkerton's Waimea Challenge. Included is helicopter footage, unthinkable at the time, showing Hawaiian locals Gerry Lopez and Derrick Ho taking the Pipeline barrel even deeper. Christian Fletcher and Matt Archibald, who were already using the "air" technique, a high-scoring technique, are also included. Footage of Kelly, who was a master even as a kid, is also included.
