It takes five times as long to shape the "POWERQUEST"...

Today's lower waves. This is the upper wave. The shoulder strap is longer and this one looks better, so I chose this one. I did a little surfing. Mayhem said he's not going surfing today and has been getting his shape up since the morning, LOST Surfboard Factory. The factory is very busy producing parallel flex boards for Japan. This is the cockpit that controls the AKU machine. I was cutting the blanks for JUNYA's custom-ordered SUB-SCORCHER board. In the Shape Room, Mayhem is a stock board for Japan. I was shaping POWERQUEST. To shape the EVW and two-channel accelerator bottom design, Apparently it takes five times longer than a board with a SQUASH tail. Carissa Moore, riding a Mayhem Shapeboard, won the competition!

Today at Trestles, a south wind has been blowing since the morning, so the waves aren't very good. Commissioned by Surfing Life Poetry, We went to LA airport to pick up photographer KENYOU, who was arriving today. I went to LOWERS hoping to see some beautiful waves in the evening, but the wind hadn't died down. I wasn't able to take any photos, but I'm looking forward to tomorrow. News! At the Women's World Tour event held in Portugal the other day, Carissa Moore won the Mayhem Shapeboard!!! Last year, Coco won the race, riding the same Mayhem-shaped board. These two are working hard on the World Tour as Mayhem Boards' girl riders.

WT "San Clemente" local super session!

Unfortunately, Chris Davidson from the LOST team was unable to participate in Round 5 due to poor health. It's a shame as I was in good form after beating Andy yesterday. Even players outside of the team ride the "Mayhem" board!

Today I'm going to watch the WT. It's the third day of the WT. This morning I surfed on the upper side with Hiroki. Hiroki is from Placebo/RIPQUEST. Nishii is Placebo/AIRQUEST. The fins are the AUROLA/FLEX-FIVE/WHITE/QUAD SET, which is best for AIRQUEST. There were many riders who were in Mayhem shape, so I'd like to report on them. The WT event is waiting for the swell and it's a waiting day!

This trip was with video cameraman "Daisuke" Love Surf AM team rider Hiroki will also be accompanying us. After a flight of about 10 hours, This is what LA Airport looks like from above.
