This is cutting edge technology! You can see and touch the "HYDROFLEX-EXTRUDED FLEX CORE" (commonly known as EFC) board at Love Surf. Recently, we have been displaying Nishii's two personal boards, the 5'7" CONQUEST-EL-DIABLO and the 5'2" SHORT ROUND, at our Love Surf store so that you can easily pick them up. Everyone who picks it up is amazed at how light it is. This board is incredibly light, like the boards used by WCT pros, with a flex even softer than POLY, and resilient strength that won't break or break even when ridden bottom-up. It's garnering rave reviews, so please come and see it for yourself! Many customers who have actually tried this board have custom-ordered it in their ideal model and size! Seeing it in person is a thrill, and it's a board that everyone will want to ride! It offers incredible flex, even more than POLY, and is crafted using a unique vacuum glassing method developed in Germany called Hydro 3D Glass. Countless small holes are drilled into the 100% waterproof foam (blank), allowing epoxy resin to penetrate deep into the foam like roots. "The foam and glass are integrated, so there's no need to worry about peeling," says Richie, president of Hydroflex. Nishii, Shaw, and Masato have all ridden EFC boards without any peeling or even footprints. There's not even a chin mark on the nose deck. But it's supple! The surface is so strong that the WHITE POLY PRO tail patch on the board is not needed. Since you will be riding it for a long time, we recommend adding resin stain color to prevent the yellowing of the epoxy resin from being noticeable. This is the clear part of the 5'7" CONQUEST-EL-DIABLO. The stringer is made of just one piece of thin black wood, which is also one of the secrets to its flexible structure. Here, the gray is used as a translucent resin tint color to make the yellowing less noticeable. Nishii recommends the white resin tint color. Up to three colors can be applied to the entire board for 20,000 yen (excluding tax).
