Hello everyone. This is Yuji, a staff member. The other day, I went to Chiba Kita Sunrise, Many people are interested in the wave information at that time. I would like to share with you a report on using high-end winter gear. The sunrise on this day was from thigh to hip set belly. The wind was strong, blowing from the southwest side. Basically, it is a small condition, Is it thicker or wider than the inside? It wasn't a good wave, The early break of the right bank But the wind keeps it down so you can run in surprisingly fast. It felt like one or two small actions were decided, I had fun there. And what a day it was! I tried wearing the "RIP CURL" heat vest . I was able to borrow a sample from the manufacturer, so I tried it right away. This heating vest is electrically heated by a rechargeable battery. It is an inner vest that keeps your back warm. First of all, to sum up my impression in one word, it's warm. Unlike previous products that only warm parts of the body, Carbon fiber heating system I feel like my whole back is warmed up. There are two levels of heat to choose from, and on this day I used it on low heat. When I'm waiting for the waves, the summer sun is always hitting my back. It feels like that. By the way, if you set it to high, it will be hot. It's warm as if you were holding a towel over your entire back. The battery life is about 3 hours in the ocean on this day. But it still felt warm until the end. When used on high, the operating time is reduced by half. I think it's about two-thirds. As for comfort, it's made of 0.3mm neoprene. It's thin, light, and soft, so I wear it as an inner layer. It was so bad that I forgot about it. The battery is about 2cm thick, It would be a lie to say that there is no discomfort, It is placed on the side of the waist and is suitable for the entire movement of surfing. It is calculated to prevent any disruption. So even though it felt a bit strange, it didn't get in the way of my movement. This heat vest has many advantages, Just to mention a few minor negative points: It's time to put on a wetsuit. Of course, it's a vest type. It also comes with parts such as a battery When pulling the wetsuit up from the waist to the shoulders, It slipped up and I had a surprisingly hard time getting it down. I'm sure I'll be able to wear it better once I get used to it, That was the only minor downside I found this time. But if you ignore that minor point, it's a really comfortable product. The temperature on this day was about 15°C. Although the value has been halved, on a mid-winter day when the temperature was around 5℃ I will definitely miss this heat vest . I'm rather tolerant of the cold, Even I wanted it, so For those who don't like the cold, this heat vest is I think it's a great product! First thing in the morning, I went to the mouth of a river in northern Chiba. The set was chest high and the wind was weak offshore. It broke nicely towards the right. After that, as the tide went out, it became harder to break. There was a current coming in so we moved around wearing our wetsuits. I points. Here the tide is going out and the set is chest.
