We had a meeting at MAYHEM and LOST Surfboards.

Today, OC has been covered in thick clouds since the morning. The wind is strong and the waves are bad, so no surfing. When I went to the LOST surfboard factory to check the finish of the board, There were a lot of short boards like this. This is for a trade show in Florida in January 2013. This is Teri Shin's specialty, hand painting. I found a custom-ordered board from Japan, ATUSHI's, that was already shaped. This is the "DSD" blank cutting machine specifically for center stringers. This is a monitor of the blank cutting machine "AKU," which can also cut stringerless blanks. MAYHEM and MTG are located at LOST Surfboards in another location. Check out the 2013 orders and the benefits of the new material C3 (cork board), We have made final confirmations on Placebo's new model. I also ordered a colorful stock board. These are the Christmas decorations in Dana Point. The whole town is in full Christmas spirit here.

Nishii has arrived in CALIFORNIA and is reporting from LOST headquarters.

I surfed at LOWERS this morning. The waves were small for LOWERS, but the way they broke and the quality of the waves were great, so I had a lot of fun. I forgot to take a photo, but I used a DRIVER board. The fins are AUROLA TRIPLERAZER. After a quick surf, we headed straight to the Luvsurf office inside Lost. There are lots of boards in stock. The most time-consuming item on the left was a custom order from a customer in Japan, and the model is the "Orca" XTR 3D Carbolic. The professional-use board rack is filled with many long, gun-shaped boards that appear to be for the Hawaii season. I saw this pattern on the blog before. This is a full graphic Kolohe board. The amazing hand painting is Terry's skill. This is also full colored, so much so that it doesn't look like a board. FISH = fish. This was also completed using the glass board that I previously showed you on my blog. The board on display is the one Julian used at LOWERS. Here are Julian F1-STUB and Mick's broken SUB-DRIVER boards. So, look forward to tomorrow's California Report Blog! Here's a photo of Orange County in the evening.

The greatness of the leading brand LOST and MAYHEM's commitment

Went surfing at UPPERS early this morning. There have been good waves every day. Nishii's "F1-STUB" was washed up on the beach and placed in a lobster trap. Afterwards, at the LOST surfboard factory Secret meeting with Mayhem. The LOST factory is busier than usual. Everybody is working at full capacity. Blanks of the popular model "ORCA" waiting to be shaped. After that, we went to the LOST surfboard warehouse. There are more boards than usual lined up on the TEAM riders' board racks. The items lined up around here are being completed one after another. These are the boards being sent to Love Surf. The USED boardroom has been remodeled into a silkscreen printing room. Today we will be introducing the large-sized "MAYHEM" laminated mark. I was just printing. The Japanese paper used for printing is high-quality Japanese paper provided and sent by Love Surf. It seems that the quality is better when printed carefully by hand like this than when printed by machine. Even in such a small detail, It shows the greatness of LOST as a leading brand and MAYHEM's attention to detail. Johnny, the shipping manager, I was packing up boards for a trade show that was being held over the weekend.

This Kolohe board features a cool new art design that's typical of LOST!

Nishii rode his bicycle, When you arrive at the beach, There was an old man with a radio-controlled surfer, so I asked him to show me. The uncle is serious. The speed is amazing, I was surprised that he was able to do the maneuvers and the air. Apparently there is even a Radio Control Surfers Federation. Nishii is using F1-STUB and the fins are these set. http://www.luvsurf.co.jp/item_detail/itemId,954/ It is thin, fast, and flexible, so it is recommended for people weighing around 55 to 65 kg. Ward and many other good surfers were surfing there. The upper part is also a good size and the waves are good. The waves break regularly. They look amazing from afar and from any angle. We went to the LOST surfboard factory. This is a DSD machine. The ARCTIC foam with the polar bear logo is highly praised for its flexibility. It is stored in the factory. TAJI and SIMPO are available at MAYHEM for size up LOWERS!

Today I'm wearing a size up, LOWERS. TAJI also said he was going to LOWERS to surf on his MAYHEM board, so we filmed a video. However, on the first wave, I unfortunately broke the gap between my fins... Taji usually brings about two bottles, but it seems he only brought one. I borrowed a board from Mike Person, who was with me, and went surfing. Mayhem also appears, chatting with Mike and Taylor. SHAW from the Love Surf team was also there. Kelly and Kalani Robb also came because the waves were good. LOWERS has become a world-class stage. Everyone is watching. Brett Simpson and Mayhem. After that, SIMPO went to Shape Factory and met MAYHEM. I ordered a total of 10 models, including the V2-ROCKET, WHIPLASH-TB, F1-STUB, and DRIVER models. When I went to the LOST surfboard warehouse, I saw countless boards lined up waiting to be shipped. Of course, among the boards on display were about 80 that will be sent to Love Surf. Among them are custom order boards made by color foam, We also have the popular Colorform ORCA and SUB-DRIVER-JP stock boards. Mayhem was surfing at LOWERS in the morning. In the afternoon, I worked steadily in the shaping room until late at night.

GLASS Techniques from France has come to San Clemente!

Here's a technique that came to San Clemente from France. There is a method called tinting, which involves adding color to polyester resin. Usually, thicker cloth fibers (such as Volan cloth) are used, This resulted in a heavy board and reduced performance, At LOST, we now offer the ability to create boards by adding color to our existing POLYESTER resin and cloth. So, the board became heavy when wrapped in TINT. It is now possible to produce boards with such a beautiful, transparent texture while maintaining almost the same weight. Clear boards are great, but Luvsurf also has beautiful stock color boards like these in stock. These designs and colors are a combination that you wouldn't expect to find at Lost.
