These are precious boards, with a limit of 25 being produced per week.
Today's waves at Lower Trestle. The waves were even smaller than yesterday. The upper side is a little larger, so I'll surf here. Nishii is a 5'9" F1-stub parallel flex. Fins choose 4.5. From San Clemente, drive south for about 20 minutes to Oceanside. It's summer vacation, so there are people on the beach wherever you go. That's in Oceanside, Epoxy Pro, XTR Factory. We sneaked into the factory to check the location of the slow-finishing boards and the progress of the process. Published on this page http://www.luvsurf.co.jp/board/lost_arrival.html We also have a lot of stock boards available for pre-order that will soon be ready and will be arriving in August! If you see the board you want here, please make a reservation! Of course, the owner, Habiyar, He helped me track down some of the boards that were slow to finish. Mr. Poto was installing the Kevlar carbon rails. He handles all the board lamination work for XTR 3D CARBOLIC. He is a specialist and the only person who can work on those beautiful rails. XTR 3D CARBOLIC lamination http://www.luvsurf.co.jp/movie/xtr_lami.html The limit is 25 pieces per week, so it takes a lot of time. Learn moreSurf with the HYDROFLEX "Supercharger" specification!
Today's waves at Lower Trestle. The US Open is over and the place is crowded with people taking photos. The upper part looked like this, the waves were a little smaller but still good. Nishii is a 5'7" SUB-SCORCHER Hydroflex Supercharged Surf. When I filled the board with air, it felt hard, so I let the air out to soften it. I'm now able to ride well. Hydroflex can be custom ordered! As you emerge from the sea, you can see the low tides and boulders on the bottom. I went to the factory where lost surfboards are glass laminated. This was once a factory used by Harvey Fletcher. It's the closest to the ocean in San Clemente. This is an exhibition board that needs to be glassed in a hurry. Inside the factory, Steve was calmly working on laminating. Officially imported, high quality proof, marked on the tail end, MAYHEM "TUNED FOR JAPAN" specification boards are also produced here.
Learn moreBy July, Mayhem had visited six countries to get in shape.
Today's waves at Lower Trestle. The wave surface is clean and oily smooth. This is the upper wave. Nishii went surfing here because it was free. The board used is PU ``F1-STUB'' and the fins are ``AUROLA 4.5''. We immediately went inside the LOST surfboard factory. By July, Mayhem had visited six countries to shape and surf. You won't find another shaper with such popularity and skill anywhere in the world. I was working with Mayhem in the office and watching the US Open live. At MENS PRO, Ward was defeated early on, Mason surfed well and won. Cory seems to be doing well too. Kolohe's heat is tomorrow! Jordy Smith, currently ranked No. 1 in the WT, is in Mayhem shape. He has participated and won. The model is "F1-STUB"! In Junior PRO, Both Luke and Kolohe are easily in the quarterfinals. This will be the world premiere, This is a prototype of the new 2011 LOST model that will be on display at our booth at the ASR exhibition next week. The concave is very complicated and I had to explain it to him. The bottom is designed with an unprecedented idea. It's Mayhem!
Learn moreNishii: Today is the day we move from "CALIFORNIA" to "TOKYO."
Today Nishii is traveling from CALIFORNIA to TOKYO. It's about an hour's drive, To Los Angeles Airport Passing over LA, I slept soundly all the way up to the sky above Chiba Prefecture, We arrived at Narita Airport. Tomorrow I will be heading to Minami Chiba to help run a contest.
Learn moreThis is how you can create a LOST/MAYHEM magic board that never fails!
Today I tried surfing at Salt Creek. The board used is a 5'9" F1-SUTB, which is my first board. Clean is a clean overhead size. The slightly wider squash tail has a shifted peak. It matched well with the beach break. If you go to the Lost Surfboard Shape Factory, Taylor, who is in charge of machine cutting, Nishii had been longing for a custom-made POLYESTER jacket. They machine cut the double straight stringer foam for me. First, use a pencil to mark the center line of the blank to match the templet. This is where you place it on the machine's bed, and this is a very important step. The blank is fixed to the bottom surface with several suction cups. Look at the red glowing dot. It's coming out of this machine on the ceiling. Use the laser point to center it. Unlike DSD machines, AKU machines have a bed that moves back and forth. This round cutter blade moves according to the programmed data. First, a cut is made vertically from the center of the board towards the rail. When you go to the rail side, the cutter blade goes down like this, The wooden stringer is hard, so when the cutter blade passes through this part, It moves slowly and cuts cleanly. In this way, the rail shape is cut with incredible precision. When the deck surface is finished one side at a time from the center, Cut the bottom surface from the center one side at a time to complete the process. Burrs like this will form on the nose, so Finally, remove the burrs with a saw and the cutting process is complete. To use a machine to accurately cut the board, Mayhem's delicate programming and Taylor's settings are very important. Furthermore, each model at Lost is constantly updated based on rider feedback, A digitally cut clone board of the Magic Board based on the Magic Board data. Because they are delivered to you, every board is in good condition and there are no duds.
Learn moreNishii is returning to Japan tomorrow, from the Gold Coast on Sunday.
This is from Nishii, who is returning to Japan tomorrow, and he is posting from the Gold Coast on Sunday. Early in the morning, I went to check out the waves I was looking forward to. Duranbar was like this, The waves are small but we start surfing right away. The only board I brought on this trip was a 5'8" Scorcher model. The beaches on the Gold Coast are bustling with people on Sundays. Here is a commemorative photo of our accompanying staff member, Kabashima. This is in Surfers Paradise The top floor is a high-rise building called QDECK, which has 77 floors. Kolohe's sponsor, TARGET, was also there. This is the rental car we used on this trip: TARAGO (Estima). I was surprised to hear that in Australia, since it's a foreign car, a new one costs 5 million yen! The waves and wind direction were not good today either, Looking forward to the waves tomorrow.
Learn moreThe huge "Lost Clothing" planning and design office
Today, there was a strong wind and the waves were choppy from the morning, so there was no surfing. This is also the case for T-STREET. Located in North Irvine, Huge Lost Clothing I went to the planning and design office. The designers, Planning for 2011 has already begun. This is the LOST Ladies Design Department. The person on the left is Joel, CEO of Lost Clothing. There's a giant barrel on the wall! There is also a skate ramp inside. LOST Clothing is different from other board manufacturers who just print their logos. By getting inside the heart of LOST Clothing, I was reminded that it is a different, solid clothing brand. They are bigger than I expected and have solid product development.
