He chose this board after switching from the "SHORT ROUND" board, which had a lot of buoyancy. The board has less buoyancy and a thinner outline, making it easier to dolphin through, and the movements are sharper, making it easier to ride, he said.

He wanted a board with a pointed nose that could be ridden even in small waves. He was also looking for a slightly wider short board when he saw the information on this blog about the limited production order. He had been interested in the tail shape of the "NEW RIPQUEST" and had wanted to try it out for a while, and when he heard that it could be ordered in the latest material, HYPER, the board he ordered was finally completed.
