So-called retro models that prioritize takeoff may be able to take off, but the action requires considerable skill. Long funboards make the action completely sluggish. Surfboard technology has evolved dramatically over the past 30 years. Lost, which supplies boards to many WCT surfers, wants to use its cutting-edge technology and know-how to create a new board with an entirely new concept, rather than a retro model outline.
LOST Official Import Exclusive!! This is the latest dream board.
First public release!
For those over 35, overweight, and wanting to ride the waves!
LOST Official Import Exclusive!! This is the latest dream board.
What if Lost really created a 21st century rocket model? This is what happened!
A dream for intermediate and senior surfers.
I want to catch waves easily from further back in the peak, where there are many young, physically fit surfers.
I want to catch a wave from the same position as a longboarder. However, rather than just riding the wave, I want to take action with ease.
To make this dream come true, a board with a completely new concept was needed. In particular, in the crowded Japanese ocean, senior surfers, whose physical strength is declining and weight is increasing, need to win this fierce battle to ride the waves on the weekends.
We put this request to Mayhem, the leader of Lost.
So-called retro models that prioritize takeoff may be able to take off, but the action requires considerable skill. Long funboards make the action completely sluggish. Lost, which supplies boards to many WCT surfers, wants to use its cutting-edge technology and know-how to create a new board with an entirely new concept, rather than a retro model outline.
Mayhem was so enthusiastic about this concept that he tested it himself and created a new model that could be called the Neo Rocket.
Rather than increasing buoyancy through length, the board is kept short, and the overwhelming volume provides super-buoyancy for unbelievable takeoff speeds. Conventional concepts of optimal buoyancy don't apply to this anti-gravity surfboard. Instead of a flat rocker like retro models, it uses a shark rocker, allowing it to move effortlessly and without pearling, even in deep waves.
◆The world's first elevator wing, a never-before-seen feature: the round pin squash tail. When upswung, the round pin allows for smooth, easy cruising. When the rails are tilted, the board becomes a short, squashed outline, shorter than the actual length of the board, making it easier to turn (similar to the effect of a diamond tail). Furthermore, the strong rocker in the elevator wing allows for incredibly quick turns, even with this volume. The round pin area has a deep double vee concave. The rails are rounded.
◆The fins come standard with a 5-fin system, allowing you to choose between 4-fin (QUAD) and 3-fin (TRI) depending on the waves and your preference.
Take off from swells. Accelerate with fast upswings, take off in one action at the position where a normal short would take off, and ride smoothly with a fast takeoff even in hollow waves, making it an all-rounder for small waves to half-overboards. If you want quick and sharp movements, choose the Quad. If you want to attack with big turns in an orthodox way, choose the Tri. The concept is that you don't need to choose a fin system based on the size of the wave, but rather on the type of surfing you want to do.
Mayhem filled out the form as TWO IN ONE / EVW / ROCKET TAIL.
