As one of the world's leading top shapers, Mayhem's research never stops.
Mayhem is also reportedly testing out some new material.
According to Mayhem, this suspicious blue-colored surfboard is
It's called Hydroflex
It's apparently made in Germany.
There are many indecipherable numbers and letters written on it.
There is also something written on the tail.
The blue foam is bead-like like EPS, and epoxy resin fills the gaps between the beads.
It has excellent strength, a hard and strong surface, and just the right amount of flexibility.
Since there is no stringer, it follows the outline of the rail.
Four lines are carved into the deck and two into the bottom.
It also has a parabolic structure.
Like the previous material called COIL, it is compressed by a machine and epoxy is applied.
Apparently it's glass laminated, so it can be completed without sanding.
Of course, I'll be testing it from now on.
