This Devil Tail is an original tail design designed by Mayhem after seeing professional surfers Nishii and his team enjoying the round-tail FISHQUEST-AIR. He thought that if your paddling ability is above average, you could change the tail shape to make the movement sharper, and came up with this for users who value movement.
The notch in the tail also acts as an elevator wing, allowing it to drain water quickly and move quickly like a swallowtail, and the four tips, two more than a swallowtail, cut through the waves, resulting in a very responsive tail shape. Mayhem is often asked, "Who did you learn this shape from?", to which he answers, "From the devil," hence the name Devil Tail.
