Regarding the holes drilled into LOST/XTR surfboards.
This hole is called "THERMOVENT" technology,
Present on all XTR boards .
At the XTR Factory, at the very end of the surfboard manufacturing process, we use a special machine to drill small, regular holes of about 1 mm each at intervals of about 5 cm into the deck and bottom of the surfboard.
With patented Thermovent Technology ,
We use a special machine that can drill holes evenly while still conducting heat.
This machine is not open to the public.
These holes serve to allow gas to escape from inside the foam when the surfboard becomes hot due to heat.
Even if there are holes, XTR foam does not absorb water , so this type of processing is possible.
There is no problem with applying wax.
This is because the wax melts at high temperatures and then gas is released.
Even if you apply a deck grip or sticker,
It doesn't block all the holes so there won't be any problems.
