Smooth out the area around the scratch.
Use sandpaper (approximately 240 grit, dry sanding) to remove any areas where the paint is peeling, weak areas, or areas that will get in the way of applying the epoxy putty.
Use a cutter to cut off the required amount of Phix Doctor repair putty.
Mix well until the color is uniform.
Place it over the scratch so that it is slightly larger than its original shape.
Press firmly to prevent it from peeling off.
Wait until it has completely hardened (approximately 30 minutes, depending on the temperature).
Shaping by sanding
Use sandpaper to sand it back to the original nose shape.
