First video of Mayhem's new model "PLANK" revealed!
This was filmed on the worst day of any riding video released to date.
On this day, Mayhem had been busy shaping surfboards in the shaping room all day, and his whole body was covered in foam powder, so he wanted to wash it off in the ocean and checked out the beach break in front of his house as the sun was about to set.
The waves were smaller and worse than expected, but I proudly picked out a few "PLANK" boards from the surfboard rack at home and forced myself to surf on them.
This board is not something you move around in little movements, but rather like Mayhem, you put your whole body weight on the board,
Choose a line to ski and ski straight.
Within that line, adjust to the changes in the wave's break.
Instead of turning with a rail, slide the bottom surface.
Use your foot on the tail side to control the direction of the board so that the nose faces in the direction of travel.
I can ride it well.
I'm busy everyday and I finally have time to surf,
For those who often find the waves too small to go beyond a long board,
For those who live in an environment where the waves are always small and you can only surf at points,
With this "PLANK", there will be far fewer days when you can't surf than there are now.
It's a magical board that makes surfing fun.
Like Mayhem in this riding movie, push your belly out, put all your weight on the board, gain speed, accelerate, and enjoy surfing by connecting small waves and sections of sloppy or sludgy waves that you can't connect on a regular mini board or fish board.
Once you take off, this board will easily propel you forward to the inside as long as you are standing correctly on the board.
