Today's trestle waves.
It's clean, the swells are directional and the breaks are consistent.
I rode my bike from the Mayhem house to the beach.
The waves are good, so Mayhem is heading there in a hurry.
This looks like a ROCKET board, but if you look closely, you'll see that it's a towel.
This is an interesting towel that will soon be released by LOST.
It will also be available for purchase at Luvsurf, so stay tuned!
Today I rode the 5'5" SPEEDQUEST prototype.
This 5'5" SPEEDQUEST prototype is not a standard 5'5" size.
The Mayhem is now narrower at 18 3/4" so it can handle bigger waves.
This is a test version that has been thinned down to 2 1/8 inches.
Previously, it was made in Germany,
This board was made in a newly built factory in California,
It is engineered in Germany.
(meaning it was drafted in Germany)
This Hydroflex changes the flex by increasing or decreasing the air pressure.
The biggest attraction is being able to ride according to the wave quality.
I was able to really feel the effects today.
In the early morning when the wave faces are clean, fill up the tank with air and drive hard.
When the wind starts to blow, let the air out so that it's about half full.
When the waves get really rough, let all the air out and the board will become softer.
It fits the wave surface well.
When deflating, wait for the waves and make sure you can see the valve in the seawater.
After submerging it a little, press the valve with your fingernail and bubbles will come out.
