Rider: Koji Nishii
Board used: Placebo 5'8" LAYZ ORCA FLEXLITE-TURBO
FILM: Toku EDIT: Total Video Service

This new model is based on the original LOST ORCA model and is made of Placebo FLEXLITE-TURBO material, but is thinner and has a grip that makes it easier to grip the rail when dolphin-dodging.

This Rays Orca model is designed for even the smallest of small wave boards, with take-off performance that rivals that of a longboard, even at crowded major surf spots on weekends, allowing you to ride a large number of waves in a short amount of time and enjoy surfing.

At first glance, the wide board-out design makes it look like a retro or Simmons-style board that only skilled surfers or those with good waves can ride well after takeoff, but that's not the case. The Mayhem was designed with the assumption that it would be ridden by Japanese surfers in small Japanese waves, so that anyone can easily ride it.

If you surf with the LAYZ ORCA model, you can wait for waves further out even at crowded spots, so you'll never have to feel frustrated when a longboarder steals your wave.

This board has a rail design that rounds the edges and positions the edges higher on the deck than usual, making it easier to control the rails of the board.

See how the board accelerates quickly even when it stops while riding.
