* The couch potato model has been designed to be easy to ride even for those with oversized chests and heads, and has excellent drive and performance.
The Couch Potato is a hugely popular second board for small waves. Its powerful takeoff and maneuverability made it a huge hit for Lost in 2013. However, its only weakness was that some people were a bit worried about it getting bigger. It's true that a very short board can be a little unsettling when the waves get big. Plus, its width makes it difficult to dolphin (duck) dive.

So Mayhem has done some magic tuning to the Couch Potato. They've added a little length, reduced the width of the center outline to allow for a longer turn, and narrowed the tail design. They've also added a double wing to make it easier to control the tail with your back foot. The semi-rounded nose is less rounded than the Couch Potato, and the rails appear to be thinner than you'd expect, but rest assured that there's still enough buoyancy and volume to make it easy to ride at an intermediate level.
The bottom features a deep single concave. The long vee bottom that runs from the tail end to the front fin, combined with the kicktail design, allows the board to rotate easily during top turns. This board balances the takeoff and paddle ability of a couch potato with performance, and its rounded outline makes it fun and easy to ride in Japanese wave conditions. This Japan-exclusive model is designed for freesurfing, and is suitable for both small and overhead waves. This is a recommended board for couch potato lovers who want an all-around board for riding in larger waves.
