Contrary to the current obsession with copycat shapers competing over the most unusual tail and nose shapes, this board embodies Mayhem's shaping techniques and philosophy, which firmly believes that the outline is everything when it comes to surfboards. When viewed from the front, the board is slightly thinner and sleeker than the wide nose and tail of the TABLET II, making it closer to a standard tri-fin board and significantly improving maneuverability. The board's thickness is evenly distributed throughout, providing significantly improved stability when paddling and riding compared to the TABLET II. This stability is particularly evident when standing up during takeoff. The large, bold single concave on the bottom allows anyone to surf at high speed. This concave creates a current on the bottom that lifts the board off the water from the first paddle stroke to catch the wave. The reason for the excellent riding control is the squash tail, with the wings positioned higher up, which makes it easier for Japanese people with smaller feet to maneuver the board, unlike Westerners, whose feet are an average of 12 inches. This small squash tail makes it easy to change direction just as you want. The CONQUEST EL-DIABLO model surpasses the TABLET II model in terms of its ability to paddle quickly, catch waves reliably, and even maneuverability once you're riding fast.
