If you go to the LOST Surfboard Factory on Saturday,
MAYHEM was shaping it.
As long-time readers of this blog know,
The red order form is for a board ordered from Japan.
It has a grab rail (for dolphin-through), which is not available on the USA model.
What MAYHEM showed us here is a board made of a new material called "Carbon Wrap." It is patent pending and has undergone extensive testing. This is the board that will be released as the production version.

"Carbon Wrap" is a high-performance surfing
LOST team riders are raving about it, and the wrapped carbon and the material of the board itself have a reputation for helping you get ahead and ride faster.
Moreover, it is finished at around 2.3 kg, the same as POLY's WCT boards.
The deck is made of a special cloth called X-Cross, which is epoxy glass, making it much stronger than POLY.
Shaw Kobayashi, who is leaving for Japan tomorrow, will be taking this LOST Carbon Wrap Masato SUB-BUGGY board with him, so it looks like Masato will be riding it at the Silver Week surf skate event in Chigasaki, Shonan on the 23rd. This board really shines in the soft waves of Shonan, so be sure to check out the exhibition heat that day. Masato will also be livening up the event as a DJ on the 23rd.

The new LOST logo is now complete and can only be used by those who order a custom LOST surfboard from Japan! The "RISING SUN" design is a favorite of Andy Irons, who also rode the LOST MAYHEM board.
