Mayhem is the original design! The model with the "ROCKET" tail is back!
The LOST "ROCKET" model is on par with Mayhem's "RNF" model.
This is a surfboard design that continues to be copied all over the world.
Do you know the story behind the creation of "ROCKET"?
Hawaiian and former World Tour surfer Noah Budreau is now a surfboard shaper. About 10 years ago, he shaped a small, easy-to-ride 5'3" board for Schoen Beschen's eldest son, Noah. When Schoen Beschen took the board for fun, he was raving about it! The feel was so different from any board he had ever ridden, he was amazed and showed the board to Mayhem, who then completed the design. That's why the original LOST ROCKET model is marked as a Schoen Beschen 5-Star model.
This "ROCKET" tail has similar effects to a diamond tail, and compared to a SQUASH tail, the rail length of the board is shorter, making it shorter than the actual length of the board, allowing for better maneuverability. The protruding protrusions on both ends help catch the water surface, react instantly, and create an opportunity to change direction, even when gliding at high speed. What a theoretical and wonderful tail design!
This "ROCKET" tail will be installed on that popular model, which is becoming a modern global version of LOST, and will be released in the spring of 2016 as part of the JP series, an easy-to-ride model sold exclusively in Japan. Look forward to it!
