Take a look inside the LOST Surfboard Factory in San Clemente.

IMG_8033 Take a look inside the LOST Surfboard Factory in San Clemente. This is the area around the power switch in the airbrush room of Terry Singh, a familiar face on 24Blog. It's a piece of art that came out naturally. IMG_8037 Mayhem proudly shows off the boards he received as gifts from his older legends, which are now displayed in his office. In his hand he holds a Greg Noll gun, on the back left is a Lance Collins WAVE TOOLS board, and on the back right is a Mark Richards signed TWIN FIN board. NNMB Mayhem's surfboard design ideas are never stopping, and this secret board also has a tail shape that we've never seen before. IMG_8051 This is Mason Ho's new personal board, which Mayhem just finished. The Ho family never uses traction pads, so Mayhem shaped the grooves to give the back foot better grip. IMG_8058 There was a single fin on-fin board with 12 channels shaped into it. It looks really fast! IMG_8031 Mayhem explained how the two carbon bands on the carbon lapboard are so effective, and how they are carefully attached to the shaped and finished foam using special techniques. IMG_8032 These are the remains of the cup used to mix the epoxy resin used in carbon lapboards. The epoxy resin used in carbon lapboards is gentle on the body because it doesn't require a mask like POLY and has no odor. Epoxy resin is about 10 times more elastic than POLY, so it's strong and won't crack when it's hit. IMG_8029 LOST's "CARBON WRAP" stock boards are about to sell out!
