The 2018 model,
DIABLO-X , continues to evolve from the original Japan-only model, LOST's CONQUEST.
It is equipped to assist rail switching on thick, buoyant boards.
The traditional "elevator wing" has also become longer and sharper, continuing to evolve.
The
DIABLO-X is aimed at adult surfers around the age of 40, and is a board that will not only help you ride and float on many waves, even on crowded Sunday mornings, the busiest time of the week, but will also allow you to catch many waves in a short amount of time and enjoy surfing with a smile on your face.
Nishii teamed up with Matt "MAYHEM" Biolos, one of the world's top high-performance board shape designers, to create this model, which has been extensively researched, developed, and test ridden with a focus on paddle and take-off performance.
What is particularly noteworthy about the design of the
DIABLO-X is the thinness of the rails and their maneuverability. It has plenty of buoyancy (CL value) and a thick center thickness, but the rails are so thin you wouldn't expect that from the thickness, so even though the board is thick in the center, you can easily do rail work and move around.

It gets thinner and thinner from the center of the board to the rails.
