Kei Kobayashi wins all heats in first place and wins the JPSA! Kei Kobayashi, who is participating in the JPSA as a spot entry between his QS Tour schedule, The 2018 JPSA Japan Pro Surfing Tour 2018 Shortboard Round 2 finals were held yesterday. Kei Kobayashi won the Izu Shimoda CHAMPION PRO! The board I was riding is the one on the left in this photo. LOST "V2-GRAINDER" CARBON WRAP. This board is 5'4" in size and is a copy of the Magic Board that Kei used to ride, and was brought with him to handle small beach breaks. In the final, he took advantage of the speed gained from the double flex unique to the CARBON WRAP to perform an air reverse on the front side and a fin free lip with a 7-point rise at a right angle on the back side, winning the board. When Nishii went to pick her up at Haneda Airport, Kei happily told her that she had finally gotten her driver's license, which she had always wanted. He had said that he wanted to buy a car with the prize money, and now he has made it come true!

Congratulations Kay!!!

This week, we're heading to the upcoming "QS1500 Shonan Open"! It looks like there will be plenty of waves, so please support Kei who is on the rise!
