At the JPSA contest event held yesterday at Oarai Beach in Ibaraki Prefecture

I went to support "Kei Kobayashi" while also taking some photos.

The result was runner-up!!

Nishii looked back at the video of the final heat he had taken and his thoughts were,

"Kei Kobayashi" for WSL judges: Look closely at the quality of each fast-moving turn.

I feel like I should have been given a score.

Kei came in second place again.

This result is due to the fact that the scores are given using the JPSA event format.

For example, the WSL judge at the US Open said, "Charaloin Marks' backside underlip

Finfree's single turn alone earned him 6.5 points.

This means that WSL judges will not give high scores for turns on a slow face of a wave.

Our next JPSA event will be in Izu Shirahama from October 4th to 6th.

I hope he surfs the way the JPSA judges like and wins by a landslide!

Good luck, Kei Kobayashi!
