◆What is DVS?
DVS is an abbreviation of DEVIOUS, which means "out of line with human opinion" or "meandering."
DVS Shoe Company was founded in California in 1995 by Kevin Dunlap and pro skater Tim Gavin. Its 1995 release across the US sold out in just one day, making it an instant hit and a hugely popular shoe brand among skaters.
This trend has spread to surfers, and now a surf team has been formed, with a unique lineup of surf team riders including professional surfer Nishii of Love Surf, Chris Ward, Corey Lopez, Gavin Beschen, and Jordy Smith.
