Stab High is taking place at Perfect Swell Shizunami Wave Pool in Japan!

At the last Stub High meet, Sierra Carr completed a perfect full rotation in the Ladybirds finals. Cheers erupted from a rickety tower off the coast of Sumbawa as a Monster Air check for $20,000 (roughly 3 million) was handed over.

Stab High, presented by Monster Energy, has evolved dramatically over the past five events. Following its first two live iterations (2018 and 2019) at Perfect Swell Pool in Waco, Texas; Mentawai Islands (2020), Central America (2021), Lakey Peak ( 2022 ).

This time in 2024, it will return to a live event format, this time held at Perfect Swell Shizunami Wave Pool in Japan. On June 22nd and 23rd, surfing's biggest stars will be showing us what the Perfect Swell Shizunami Wave Pool can do. You can see it.

With support from YETI, this year's event will feature three divisions: Men's, Ladybird (girls 15 and under), and Bottle Rocket (boys 15 and under). Additionally, the Monster Air Award will be presented to the surfer with the most impressive air of the competition, regardless of division.

Chippa Wilson, Ian Crane, Harry Bryant, Noah Beschen, Julian Wilson, Matt Meola, Mikey Wright, Noah Dean, Robbie McCormick, Luke Swanson, Mason Ho and Kaito Ohashi are just some of the surfers who will be competing in the 2024 event, with the 36 men's field to be announced in the coming weeks.

Of course, it wouldn't be Stab High without the fresh flock provided by YETI. The world's best 15 and under fly girls will soar in Japan, joined by Ladybirds champions Katie Simmers, Erin Brooks, Sky Brown and two-time champion Sierra Carr.

And for the first time, YETI will be showcasing explosive boys aged 15 and under in the new Bottle Rocket category.

"Stab High Japan Presented by Monster Energy" will be held for two days on June 22nd and 23rd. There will be approximately five hours of surfing each day, from 9am to 2pm Japan time.
