With just one week left until the WSL FINALS waiting period starts on September 6th, we photographed athletes practicing at the local lowers. This day was a Sunday, and including Monday, it was a three-day weekend in the US, The waves were also small, so even at that time many people came to the larger lower decks in search of waves. Nishii took his son Jiei to Lowers for a surfing shoot. There were few waves that day, and many people were not able to catch a wave even after entering the water. Caroline Marks, John, John Florence, local legends now, Kolohe Andino and super legend Mick Fanning were surfing. Check out the footage below.
