Hello, I'm Kohei, a staff member.
The mid-length lens that is currently getting the most attention in Japan is probably the "SMOOTH OPERATOR."
I'm sure there are some of you who are checking out this blog who are already using it or are currently considering purchasing one, but the other day I went for a ride on the LOST ``SMOOTH OPERATOR'' DOUBLE DART!

Due to the quality and popularity of the model, the "SMOOTH OPERATOR" is available in a variety of materials.
The one I borrowed and rode this time was the high-end material "DOUBLE DART" from the "SMOOTH OPERATOR" series!
Since this was my first time, I tried riding the MB Large, which emphasizes movement, in QUAD setting.

My impressions after holding the LOST "SMOOTH OPERATOR" DOUBLE DART:
First of all, it's light!
6'4" x 20.25 x 2.63 It's so light you'd never guess it weighs 36.55cl!
As someone who usually rides surfboards between 5'5" and 5'8", 6'4" is still long for me, but with it being so light, I felt like it would move around without any problems even at 6'4".
Also, the "DOUBLE DART" is characterized by high rebound thanks to the carbon on both sides, which converts every force the rider puts on the surfboard into speed, so I went out and rode it with anticipation to see how it would change when linked with the "SMOOTH OPERATOR"!

The first thing I thought when paddling with the SMOOTH OPERATOR was how fast it was!
It has a buoyancy of 36.55cl!
The surfboard length is 6'4"!
Naturally, the benefits of this board are obvious, but the relatively narrow width of this length means that it doesn't restrict arm movement when paddling, allowing for very smooth paddling, and the force of the paddling is easily transmitted to the surfboard, making it very fast!
This is a great benefit for men and women with narrow shoulders!
And as for the takeoff that everyone is curious about...
It's so fast!
This is probably to be expected since the paddling is fast, but the SMOOTH OPERATOR model has good balance, so it's easy to hook onto the wave, and as long as you get your position right, you can catch and ride the wave with just a few light paddles!

After takeoff, I was surprised at how much better it was maneuverable than I had imagined!
The excellent balance of the model, which was achieved by combining various factors such as the lightweight weight of the surfboard, the exquisite width that is not too wide, the thickness that is not too thick, and the slender tail end, was once again on display, with a very light swing weight and movement that is hard to believe for a 6'4" 36.55cl surfboard, truly representative of the ``SMOOTH OPERATOR'' DOUBLE DART!

POLYESTER has its own merits, so preferences may differ, but for those who usually ride shortboards, the ``SMOOTH OPERATOR'' DOUBLE DART is highly recommended, as it is surprisingly light for its length and has a light swing weight!
This is a model with a certain length, so the movement of the surfboard will change completely by stepping back and changing the position of your front foot, so please try out various things!
