Among the photos taken when I went to Tero Lodge Island in Sumatra, Indonesia last week, there is a photo of me surfing on a left-only reef break while riding a PLACEBO RNR DURA-FLEX5.
The board I was riding at the time was a 5'4" round nose round with fins.
Nishii is surfing with the original fins he is currently developing.
This fin is a Twin Fin Plus One, which has the same combination as the MR Twin +1.
I'm sure you've all known how great the PLACEBO RNR DURA-FLEX5 is since it was released two years ago, but it's the perfect board for testing the fins that Nishii is currently developing, and since I was able to test both tight turns and driving turns on the reef break with its characteristic waves, I wanted to change the shape of the fins a little more.
It will probably be a while before it is released, but please look forward to it.
It's been a while since I rode the PLACEBO 『RNR』DURA-FLEX5
The round tail effect allowed me to draw a line smoothly even on the backside, and I was able to ride with good flow.
It's still a good board!
