According to a survey conducted by STAB last year, the PLACEBO "RAD-DIABLO" is based on the LOST "RAD-RIPPER," the world's best-selling surfboard, and has been retuned to suit Japanese surfers and Japanese waves.
The nose design maintains volume all the way to the tip, and the distinctive beaked nose shape used in LOST's RAD-RIPPER has been changed to a semi-beaked shape for the RAD-DIABLO.
By adding volume to the nose area, the paddle is weighted more towards the nose, allowing the paddle to move faster and for a quicker takeoff.
