This is a compilation of Griffin Colapinto's riding on the SUB DRIVER 2.0 when he won the 2021 US OPEN.
The design of the SUB DRIVER 2.0 is wider and lower rocker than the DRIVER 2.0, LOST surfboards' most successful, popular, and important performance shortboard model in the contest scene, and is a model that is continually evolving, so we are calling it the SUB DRIVER 2.0.
It allows you to easily connect sections of gentle waves and maintain speed through turns. The wide nose outline increases drive and speed with the front foot. It also makes it easier to get to the bottom even on gentle wave angles, helping you turn when carving.
This provides a wide platform for a stable front foot landing, which is essential for air reverse landings and fin-free tail landings. The center stringer line is thicker for improved paddle force and driving power, and the boxier rail shape is thinner than the original "SUB DRIVER" for improved maneuverability when turning.
It responds quickly and allows for fast, tight carving. The rail rocker in the tail is strengthened,
The new 2.0 features a vee in the end fin area, allowing for faster, shorter, semicircular turns while popping up and accelerating thanks to the deep concave. It's more capable of vertical surfing in the pocket than the original SUB DRIVER.
The updated SUB DRIVER 2.0 is designed to prevent the rails from getting caught in any surface,
I want to be able to pick up speed and draw smooth lines.
