Hello, I'm Kohei, a staff member.
It's been almost half a month since the start of 2022, but the waves in Chiba haven't been getting any bigger and there have been many days of poor conditions...

Every day I was able to go to the beach, the conditions were small...
Since my last ride of 2021 until today, I have been riding almost exclusively the ``SNONAN WARRIOR'' lol.

This is because with a normal shortboard, you can barely take off and push it a little to the side, which is a 15-point condition, but with the SHONAN WARRIOR, you can take off from the swell stage, maintain speed even in the middle section where the water doesn't really pick up, and even get some action in the inside sections, which is a 30-40-point condition!

There were plenty of waves that day, but the conditions were thick and the water was breaking slowly, and even for advanced surfers, the occasional set was so intense that it was difficult to make a single forceful move, and there were very few surfers around, so without hesitation I chose the SHONAN WARRIOR and got in the water.

The size had gone down a little since I was checking the waves, and they were only about waist high with knee and thigh sets, but SHONAN WARRIOR was still amazing!
I caught 16 waves in the first hour, which is more than one every five minutes!
Moreover, I took off from the middle section on most of the waves, made turns, and did some light action on the inside sections, riding right up to the point of landing, which was very tiring lol

There have been many days with small waves this winter season, and even on days when you could be heading to the beach, you might not feel like going because the waves are too small.
Furthermore, even if you go to the beach, if you spend a lot of time floating in the cold water waiting for waves, it's cold and boring, right?
With "SHONAN WARRIOR" you can ride the waves so much that you don't have time to rest, so your body will be warm and you'll get tired in a good way!

After trying out various fin settings, I found that the ``MR/Twin Stabilizer'' is the best fin setting for small waves.
It's looser than a tri-fin, but in small waves it gives a good feel.
The XL size combines slightly upright side fins with a small stabilizer in the center, making it extremely maneuverable, and it pairs perfectly with the thick, wide, and short "SHONAN WARRIOR"!

Take a look!
The hidden "double concave babel bottom" in this bottom!
Of course, it's not just the bottom shape that's good; it's also because MAYHEM has planned and created a variety of mechanisms for Japanese users, resulting in a well-balanced finish!

I thought that because SHONAN WARRIOR is so much fun, I might end up surfing at spots with smaller waves rather than spots with bigger ones for a while.
