The "SMOOTH OPERATOR" is a model designed for MAYHEM himself so that he can surf in the small waves he encounters when surfing with his children.
However, the SMOOTH OPERATOR was designed to allow for fun riding in breaks that don't have a loose shoulder, something that only a longboard can handle, and in a good way it has exceeded the expectations of its creator, MAYHEM.
As many of you may already know, we've introduced it on this blog before, but as you can see from the surf photos taken in El Salvador and Costa Rica, where MAYHEM himself has proven and scored it, the SMOOTH OPERATOR is powerful and will give you the best surfing experience even at large point breaks!
The blanks of the special "SMOOTH OPERATOR" produced as part of the "MADE IN JAPAN QUALITY" project use the same "tapered stringer form" from "ARCTIC" as those made in the USA, of course imported from the USA!

The "tapered stringer form" is a special form that gradually becomes thinner from the nose to the tail.
The nose area with its thick stringers provides excellent strength and acceleration, converting the speed gained from paddling or your front foot into forward momentum.
The stringer gets thinner towards the tail, so when you push on the tail, it flexes with little force and provides good turning performance, so it responds to the rider's intentions.
This time, the "SMOOTH OPERATOR" was produced with "MADE IN JAPAN QUALITY" and instead of a single box, it uses the FCS II 5 fins that are familiar to all users!
