It has the same basic design as the "Super Diablo" shaped board, but because it's a pre-cut board, we were able to implement a split tail, which is prone to breaking on poly boards. With a rounded, wide board like a funboard, which is designed solely for takeoff, if the surface becomes rough, the paddle becomes slow and you can't dolphin. To prevent this, we've thoroughly tuned and shortened Mayhem's classic Diablo. It's very wide, has volume in the center, and has a pointed nose, making it easy to paddle and dolphin. About 90% of the people in the water were struggling to take off on the point-nose tri-fin boards that they seemed to be using all the time. Even WCT surfers cannot ride the same board well in small, weak waves. At Love Surf, we recommend using different surfboards depending on the wave quality.
