A report from the LOST Surfboard Factory in San Clemente, CA.
A report from the LOST Surfboard Factory in San Clemente, CA. MAYHEM has just completed the shape of the stockboard for the "LAYZ POTATO" model "XTR FX". He showed us the blanks that were about to be transported to the XTR factory to be vacuum glassed into "XTR FX". As you can see when you look at the ``XTR FX,'' the production process is very time-consuming, with wooden stringers made from special, extremely thin maple wood dyed black, square carbon attached to the rails, and glassed in a vacuum bag.As a result, it is difficult to mass-produce like a POLY board, making it a rare, high-end board. This is MAYHEM watching Chris Ward and the WCT LIVE in Europe. Rooting for Carissa Moore's heat on a LOST Mayhem board. Behind the desk is the board that Kolohe and Mick used. Ward saw Mick's SUB-DRIVER board and said, "This looks good." He said he'll peel off the sticker and try riding it tomorrow. I started working again, designing surfboard orders using AKU software on my beloved Air Mac. This is Mayhem. He was happy that there were a lot of custom orders for the "BEACH BUGGY" model after Taj won the WCT last week. Luvsurf is currently holding a sale to celebrate the "BEACH BUGGY" victory, so please take advantage of this as well . This is Mick's SUB-DRIVER board leaning against the wall in the MAYHEM shaping room. This is the board I rode in Brazil this year and it was so good that I wanted the same board, so I brought it back to LOST. This is the AKU machine as seen from the control room. Cutting blanks. It takes about 20 minutes for POLY to cut one board, Since the blanks of XTR and EPS tend to melt easily due to the heat produced when cutting, it takes about 30 minutes to change the blade (rounded teeth). Mayhem immediately began shaping the cut blanks. It seemed like he had come up with a new design for this board, and he was concentrating very hard on shaping it. I'm looking forward to seeing what kind of board it will be! Posted by Luvsurf .

Learn moreWe are having a limited-time "BEACH BUGGY" model victory celebration sale until the end of September!
When I went to LOWERS early in the morning after the WCT finished, Mick Fanning, currently ranked number one in the world, was surfing. By the time Nishii arrived at the beach early in the morning, about two hours after sunrise, the fish had already come up. I think they had been training since dawn. The board he was riding was Mick's favorite, the SUB-DRIVER. When I was watching Taji's riding video taken during the WCT, Nishii wanted to ride a "BEACH BUGGY," First up is the 5'8" x 18 1/2" x 2 1/8" size "BEACH BUGGY" . It's been a while since I last rode a high performance squash tail tri-fin board. The BEACH BUGGY is a board with a slightly more buoyant design than other models, even though they are the same size. The paddling wasn't too hard, and the movements were sharp, making for an exhilarating surfing experience. The "BEACH BUGGY" model is currently on sale to celebrate the victory. We have a Lost "BEACH BUGGY" model stockboard ready to ride, http://www.luvsurf.co.jp/models/lost/beach-buggy Regardless of FCS/ORIGIN fins, All POLYESTER Carbon Tail Patch specifications are ¥108,000 (tax included)! We are selling it at a sale price for a limited time until the end of September. Please consider it. It is also available for sale on the web store. http://www.luvsurf.co.jp/store/category/item/itemgenre/lost_board/beach-buggy_polyester/ It's first come, first served, so please take advantage of this opportunity. Learn moreThe QUAD rear fins are easier to use with the AUROLA 5-fin set.
After the WCT event, LOWERS has become smaller in size, The waves have been breaking nicely these past few days. Nishii is riding his second personal board, the LAYZ POTATO . Even at the crowded One Peak point break, the paddle is fast and the takeoff is just right. I can also draw maneuvers and ride well. It's a big line that makes for a mature and calm driving style. This model is recommended for those who want to surf, and is a fun board that will allow you to catch waves at an advantageous pace even at crowded spots on weekends. Stock boards are scheduled to arrive in early October, so if you've been looking for a fun board, Please consider it. http://www.luvsurf.co.jp/24sblog/?p=21893 Here is the arrival information. I was riding with QUAD fins, but I wanted to try tri-fins, I installed an FCSII QUAD rear fin in the center. However, this QUAD rear fin has asymmetrical side fin foils with 20/80 on both sides, The feeling of turning becomes one-sided, making it difficult to balance the turn. It didn't function as a center fin and was difficult to use. In this respect, the AUROLA 5-fin set is easier to use. AUROLA/FLEX-FIVE AUROLA "CARBON 5" http://www.luvsurf.co.jp/goods/fin_aurola04.html These QUAD rear fins can be used as center fins without any problems, This is an excellent fin set, so we would like to let everyone know about it. For boards with FCS II plugs, all previous FCS fins and all AUROLA fins are compatible. http://www.luvsurf.co.jp/store/22539/ You can use it with this infill kit. Posted by Luvsurf .

Learn moreLOST Surfboards wins their first WCT event at their hometown San Clemente Lowers!
===========[Apology]=========== Thank you for always using Love Surf. Due to the high volume of access to the website between 10pm and late at night, There was a situation where it was difficult to use for several days. We apologize for any inconvenience or trouble caused to our customers. The service has now been restored and is available as normal. We look forward to your continued support of Love Surf. == ... Hurley Pro Final Day Report. I think you all already know, This guy, Taj Burrow, won the Hurley Pro WCT event! In the final, he faced Julian Wilson, the flagship rider of HURLEY, the event organizer. Although the finals seemed to be a disadvantage, he showed off some amazing surfing that made it clear to everyone that he was the winner! The wave conditions for this tournament were not so good for LOWERS, With speedy riding, he was able to overcome such rough waves without any difficulty. What was impressive was how the way he rode the board was completely different from the other skaters. I went to San Clemente three weeks ago, and even when the waves were small and rough and no one was surfing, Here at LOWERS, we adjusted and selected surfboards to suit Mayhem and this event. It's called "BEACH BUGGY." This was LOST Surfboards' first win at a WCT event held in their local town of LOWERS. So MAYHEM seemed extremely happy, and ran up to Taji, who had won the competition, He held his board high in the air. Taji looked incredibly happy after winning the grand prize of $105,000 (10.5 million yen). The other day, we were talking about how LOWERS has never won a WCT tournament, so For Nishii and MAYHEM, this victory was a great achievement. The BEACH BUGGY is a great board that rides really well even in rough waves, so we encourage everyone to give it a try. http://www.luvsurf.co.jp/models/lost/beach-buggy Posted by Luvsurf .
Learn moreWhat board was Taj Burrow riding to beat Kolohe at Hurley Pro Day 3?
Hurley Pro Day 3 report. All photos by Hayato Masuda Bread Simpson, who faced Jordy Smith, was unfortunately defeated in round 3. His stylish hand movements make the board swing more when it hits the lip, This is a good example, so take a good look and try to imitate it. "Alejo Moniz" faced Mick Fanning and was narrowly defeated in round 3. It's a shame because he was doing well. His style is to pray before entering the water and when coming out. FU WAX has such great adhesiveness that thin seaweed sticks to it. Adam Melling. He faced world champion Joel Parkinson in round 3. He won, so he looked incredibly happy after the heat. His surfing is going really well. He's been training really hard. He's also a FU WAX user, so there's seaweed on his surfboard. I came in second place in the next round, round 4, so I will be playing against Josh Kerr in round 5 tomorrow. Taj Burrow and Kolohe Andino competed on the LOST Mayhem board. The waves were small and the tide was high and the waves weren't breaking, so with five minutes left the set didn't come. Just like at the US Open, I couldn't catch the waves and it was a disappointment. I was doing some advanced airs, but It was very disappointing to lose in the early rounds here at my local point. Taj Burrow, who beat Kolohe, had better wave control than Kolohe in lighter conditions. The board also seemed to be running well. I usually use the WHIPLASH-TB model, As expected, Taji also had a hard time breaking on a day like today when the tide was rising and the waves were small for a WCT contest. He was riding his own small wave high performance model "BEACH BUGGY", which was developed for that purpose. If you are already reading this blog, you probably already know about the "BEACH BUGGY" model. This is the perfect model for those who want to use it in competitions in waves that are smaller and weaker than usual in Japan, so be sure to give it a try. If you're aiming for sharp, vertical surfing, this is the model for you! Ready-to-ride boards are now in stock! The Beach Buggy is a high-performance board designed for small to medium rough waves, with lift and momentum even in rough waters! It inherits the genes of Andy's favorite WHIPLASH model and is the product of a collaboration between Taji Burrow and Mayhem! http://www.luvsurf.co.jp/models/lost/beach-buggy So, look forward to tomorrow's report on the final day! Learn moreOn the second day of the Hurley Pro, Kolohe and Alejo, who use FU WAX, were very successful!
On the second day of the Hurley Pro, Kolohe Andino and Alejo Moniz, who used FU WAX, were very successful. Although the size was smaller than yesterday, Heats 5 to 12 of Round 2 were held today. Alejo Moniz won the man-on-man heat against John John with ease. He was attracting a lot of attention. Alejo Moniz is a player officially supported by FUWAX, There is a sticker with the FUWAX red oval mark on the board. Another famous FU WAX user is Kolohe Andino. Using his local knowledge, he will be competing against Matt Wilkinson. I rode a lot of mid-sized waves and prepared for this event at LOWERS. He showed off his good surfing and won easily. Tomorrow's round 3 will be against Taji-san. It turned into a showdown between LOST Mayhem board riders and FU WAX users. I'm looking forward to seeing who will win. Check out these photos of other WCT riders using FU WAX on their boards. My name is Patrick Gudauskas. Kelly and the entire Channel Islands WCT team use FU WAX. This person is Travis Logie from South Africa. If you look at the feel of the wax on the board, you can tell that users who use FU WAX I think it's obvious that it's FU. I don't think there is anyone reading this blog who hasn't used FU yet. If you have it, please try using it. It boasts a gripping power that is incomparable to previous waxes and the other waxes that are being released one after another in response to a sense of crisis over FU! You can purchase it here! http://www.luvsurf.co.jp/store/11847/ Posted by Luvsurf .
