I got to ride the extremely rare and hard-to-obtain model "RNF'96"!
"I rode the rare and rare RNF'96 model!" Hello, I'm Kohei, a staff member. Today's blog will be my impressions of riding the rare and extremely valuable model "RNF'96" that I recently got to try out. The first time I rode it was in the Kamogawa area. There was a lot of damping on the day, and the early waves were mostly chest to shoulder height with a bit of wind, making the conditions less than ideal. Only a few pros and advanced surfers were able to get some action in the gaps and make short rides on the waves. *Sorry, I didn't have time to take any photos of the waves that day. The first thing that surprised me was the moment I paddled out at RNF'96! When I held the surfboard on land, it felt a little heavy, but once I got into the water and started paddling, I was surprised at how light it felt! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=syj48UmXVzE&list=TLGGHC5QXPau2CoxNDA5MjAyMQ I am 168cm and 64kg and the size I test rode was 5'6" x 20, 25" x 2.40 31cl (WIDE), so even the RNF'96 was a little overflowing, but what I felt was that it was well balanced! Pro Nishii explained it to me, and I experienced firsthand that this was the effect of the magic board design principle "Double Ender"! And as for the take-off speed that everyone is curious about, I was surprised here too! Once again, the quality of the surfboard design really stands out here, as the tail catches the wave, allowing for quick and smooth takeoff. *The conditions on the second day I rode were almost windless and the surface was very clean, but the swell was very weak, making it quite tough conditions for a shortboard with a knee-high setting. However, I was able to catch the waves early on in the swell, so I was able to ride longer and with lighter action than anyone else! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kmFEmEGtT3M This is common to all previous RNF series, but after takeoff, the board automatically picks up speed without you having to do anything, so you can ride with ease! "RNF'96" moves very smoothly, but some people may find it a little loose. We recommend the MR/TWIN STAB to start with, but if you feel it's a little loose, you can solve the problem by increasing the size of the center fin. I wasn't able to try it out on this day, but when the waves are big enough, the tri-fins I usually use seem to work well. The RNF'96 that I test rode this time was very easy to ride, with no quirks, and I thought it was an all-around model that can be enjoyed by people of all skill levels! Stock boards are hard to come by, so I decided to custom order one! The RNF'96 is the model that turned MATT BIOLOS, also known as MAYHEM, a shaper who was still unknown worldwide, into a world-class shaper! As I have written many times in my previous blogs, I still remember being shocked when I saw a video of professional rider Nishii riding and immediately purchased the original, early version of "Round Nose Fish." At the time, thin, flimsy surfboards were the norm, but this was a masterpiece with its round nose and short fishtail! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0WwdRg-f8yI&list=TLGGFb7wmmYoHPkxNDA5MjAyMQ If you haven't ridden an RNF yet, I highly recommend it! Gabriel Medina, who recently became the world champion, owns multiple special RNF'96s, even though he is supported by other brands! It's impossible to go through your surfing life without riding LOST's ``Round Nose Fish''! For a detailed explanation of "RNF'96", please click here! Learn moreThank you so much for all the custom orders for LOSTSurfboards! We're announcing the top 3 custom orders to date!
The LOST USA CUSTOM ORDER FAIR was held for the first time in six months. So many people have been waiting for this event, and although there is still half a month left, we have already received a considerable number of custom orders, and we are very happy that so many users support ``MAYHEM'' and ``LUVSURF.'' Today's "STORE BLOG" will reveal the top 3 custom order models we have received so far! First up, third place! "RAD RIPPER" is a super unfair model from "MAYHEM" that combines 80's design with cutting-edge design and adds just the right amount of volume! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f5XtV4quQD0&list=TLGG4fX8bdUqlHAxNDA5MjAyMQ This best-selling model is suitable for all riders, and its easy paddling and performance will make the dreams of even the most ambitious shortboarders come true. The user-friendly RAD RIPPER can be ridden by beginners who have learned how to take off, those who are not confident in their paddling strength, and even advanced paddlers. Second place goes to "SUB DRIVER2.0"! "After all, a high-performance model with a pointed nose is best for a surfboard!" "I want high-performance surfing even in small conditions or at points with weak power!" This board is extremely popular among genuine shortboarders! https://vimeo.com/460512453 I think most Japanese people surf at beach breaks, and one of the reasons for its popularity is that it is very well suited to irregular and unpredictable beach breaks. Compared to the DRIVER 2.0, it retains overall volume, so even surfers who are still learning to do upswings can easily improve their game, and many surfers order it. The number one spot goes to "RNF'96" after all! At the previous "LOST Custom Order Fair," we had the largest number of orders by a wide margin, far surpassing the number of second place, and this time we are once again the number one in terms of custom orders. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0WwdRg-f8yI&list=TLGGFb7wmmYoHPkxNDA5MjAyMQ The ultimate all-round model that's easy to use! I tried it out the other day and it was easy to catch waves and the paddling was fast!! Once you get on, it will pick up speed automatically and move freely, responding sensitively to the rider's intentions! I was so pleased with it that I decided to order a custom one! At this year's LOST Custom Order Fair, there were many orders for LIGHT SPEED, BLACK DART, and CARBON WRAP, with many orders including more original colors! Take advantage of the remaining half of the LOST Custom Order Fair, which comes with three special perks, and get your own original surfboard at a great price!
