Freshly taken! Surf photos of the LOST team, the US Olympic Surf Team, at Shizunami Beach!
Three of the four US Olympic surf team members are Lost surfboard riders. "Kolohe Andino" "Carissa Moore" "Caroline Marks" These three are the ones who ride LOST and PLACEBO surfboards. As you probably know, The three of them visited the US Olympic Surf Team host town yesterday. We have filmed the practice session taking place on a closed-off stretch of Shizunami Beach in Makinohara City, Shizuoka Prefecture, so please take a look. Carissa Moore tried to land the air and made it several times. Caroline Marks was exploding with sharp and stable vertical lips from the bottom on the backside. John John was there too, What was impressive was that only Kolohe Andino was able to land air reverses multiple times! There seems to be no need to worry about Kolohe Andino suffering a serious injury! All three of us brought several "DRIVER2.0" and "SUB-DRIVER2.0" to a tent set up on the beach. I switched and tested it!

Learn moreIt's looking good! Here's a wave report from my first ride on the RNF-RETRO in 2 months!
Hello everyone. This is Kohei, a staff member. I've been riding a variety of surfboards recently, including the RAD RIPPER, so it's been two months since I last rode the RNF-RETRO, so I'd like to share my impressions again. On that day, I went into the water at Wada. From Koshihara, the waves were chest high and the wind was weak, with the wave information showing a score of 40, making for good conditions! If you choose the right or left waves, you can get some action in and enjoy a long ride, and it was a good wave for the first time in a while! *The photo above shows Anon Matsuoka practicing his air moves on the day. It's been a while since I last rode the RNF-RETRO. At first I used the classic MB KEEL/QUAD, but recently I've been riding performance models like the RAD RIPPER, so although I was very fast with these fins, which are characterized by my favorite speed, drive, and hold, the hold was strong and the movement felt sluggish. For the second round, I changed from the MACHADO KEEL/TWIN, which I use when the waves are small or the conditions are not good, in search of a board with better movement. By switching to the MACHADO KEEL/TWIN, the sluggishness that had been bothering me was eliminated, and the light and nimble performance of the RNF-RETRO was brought to bear, allowing for more aggressive surfing! What surprised me the most was how smoothly he could switch from top turn to rail! The combination of the wide tail end of the RNF-RETRO's double side cut and flat rocker allows the rails to turn in tight sections just like a performance model, and in a good way, it's so responsive that you wouldn't believe you're riding a twin fin. And of course, one of the attractions of the RNF-RETRO is its fast takeoff. Compared to high-buoyancy models, this model does not have that much buoyancy for its length, but perhaps due to the bottom shape, tail shape, or both, it is very easy to catch on the waves when taking off, so if you get the timing right, the surfboard will be pushed along and you can ride it without having to paddle much! The RNF-RETRO is great to look at and great to ride, and remains a highly recommended model! Personally, I'm a surfer who has ridden a classic alternative model before, the MB KEEL/QUAD. (Depending on the wave size) For surfers who usually ride shortboards, we recommend traditional twin fins like the larger "MACHADO KEEL/TWIN" or "MODERN KEEL/TWIN" as they will feel more comfortable riding (depending on the waves).
