Mr. A, Placebo 6'2" chose the ORCA Soft Top & Hard Bottom. This is Riito, the son of Luvsurf AM team rider Hiroki. Until now, he'd been practicing on his dad's board, but this time he got his own ORCA soft-top board! Even a child can use it safely, so it looks like he'll be practicing even more enthusiastically! Mr. B, Placebo 5'6" chose the ORCA Soft Top & Hard Bottom. A mother with experience in bodyboarding wanted a board that she could use and practice with her child, so she chose the affordable and safe "ORCA" soft top. Everyone loved the cute killer whale pattern. Mr. C said, Placebo 6'2" chose the ORCA Soft Top & Hard Bottom. He was searching for a trendy sponge board to choose, and came to check out the ORCA, which seemed more and more appealing the more he learned about it. He had read negative reviews online about regular sponge boards, such as scratches on the fin box, leash plug, and easily worn rails, as well as waterlogging and making the board heavy, which had made him hesitant to buy one. However, the ORCA has completely blown away all those worries. And best of all, he says the ORCA performs reliably when used as a surfboard. Mr. D, Placebo 5'6" chose the ORCA Soft Top & Hard Bottom. He had also tried a popular sponge board from a well-known manufacturer, but it was always too soft and didn't turn well, making for a bad ride. He wanted to see if our ORCA was truly different, so he came all the way from Ibaraki to see it for himself. The ORCA soft top, an epoxy board with an EPS interior, is easy to ride, moves like a proper surfboard, and is even strong in small waves, so he was happy to bring it with him to his home beach of Oarai for a small wave day. Mr. E, Placebo 5'6 chose the ORCA Soft Top & Hard Bottom. This customer is a skilled former Love Surf team rider. He says he doesn't get to go to the ocean much due to his busy schedule, but this time he purchased an ORCA soft top to protect his board from damage when it hits the small waves of Shonan, which are expected to become even more crowded from now on, and to ride more waves than usual when he goes surfing, which he has been doing less often. Although he is small, he has power and no matter how powerful the waves are, he ends up turning his board back, but the waves of his opponents are good and he was unable to win the semi-final, coming in third place. "Kolohe Andino" SUB-DRIVER The coach is former WT athlete Mike Parsons. He faced his junior, Griffin, in the quarter finals and lost there. The two of them didn't even fight for the waves, but instead focused 100% on surfing, which earned them praise. After their heat, Mayhem came up to Nishii and muttered, "Kolohe's surfing was better, but Griffin got all the good waves in his heat." "Griffin Colapinto" Driver The coach is former WT athlete Jake Patterson, also known as Snake. He beat his senior Kolohe in the quarter finals and was expected to win, but he came in second place. However, on this day he jumped the most and landed a series of air reverses. The winner was Kanoa Igarashi, who won for the second consecutive year and is a Japanese national. He was doing some cool surfing on the RNF-RETRO next to the US OPEN venue! The "RNF-RETRO" model is currently popular among older surfers who were early adopters of LOST! Today's US OPEN saw the fourth round of the MENS event, which had not yet been held. Michael Rodrigues, Brazil Michael Rodriguez, also known as "M-ROD," riding the LOST SUB-DRIVER model "CARBON WRAP," took advantage of the board's bounce to ride every wave from outside to inside, finishing in second place. He didn't seem to be struggling to hit the board as hard as the other surfers to get through the waves, and the double flex of the "CARBON WRAP" made surfing these types of waves a breeze. "Evan Geiselman" USA Florida's small wave warrior, Evan Geiselman, was carving even in the thick outside waves. And on the inside, his strategy seemed to be to successfully perform air reverses to score points, as he did so multiple times. Apparently, the waves in Florida are smaller than in California, so surfers become better at generating speed themselves, and Kelly also hails from the same small Florida waves. Even in Japan, there are many JPSA surfers who excel in small waves in Shonan. In Round 4, last year's winner, Kanoa, took first place, followed by Evan in second place. Because there is a time difference between Japan and the US, by the time this blog is published, Round 5 is scheduled to take place. Of the four people in the heat, the other three were strong competitors from the WT. Perhaps I was too excited, but I was defeated here. This is my best result yet in QS10000, and I've earned prize money and points. "Griffin Colapinto" Driver In Round 3, I was in the same heat as my local senior, Kolohe. He finished in second place and in the following round 4 he shared the same heat as Yago Dora. We rounded up in second place and moved on to Round 5, where it was man-on-man! The waves were very few and small so I was struggling to get a good score. When I caught a good wave, the flow was amazing and I got a good score. "Yago Dora" POCKET ROCKET Round 3 was the same heat as "Kay", He landed a solid frontside air reverse to take first place. However, in the following round 4, in the same heat as Griffin, He was eliminated in third place due to questionable low score judgement. He himself seemed dissatisfied with the score. After the heat, he held up his board as if he had won and showed off his victory. "Kolohe Andino" DRIVER In round 3, he was in the same heat as Griffin, a junior LOST team. He landed a frontside air reverse and a backside three-turn to finish in first place. Although they advanced to Round 4 in second place, their energy to win this tournament was palpable. He was surfing in a cool Californian style. If the judges were to grade each trick more precisely, I think Kolohe would definitely be the best. He was the only surfer out of the many competitors competing without a leash. Others include Brazil's Michael Rodrigues, Evan Geiselman, who is said to be the best in the world at surfing small waves, has moved up to Round 3. The biggest swell of the year hit Lower San Clemente. Masato Yukawa and Sho Kobayashi had a session early in the morning. The waves were still breaking up and dangerously choppy in the early morning hours, a condition known as morning sickness, but the session went ahead! The show arrived a little late and we quickly headed to the place where we got out! The man in front is professional golfer Hiroto Ohara, winner of the US Open three years ago. "Show" has a rare barrel section in LOWER, He was doing power hacks that made his whole body and board sink. The board I'm riding is the LOST " DRIVER ". If the waves are big, you can surf faster and make better moves! "Masato" was a short two-hour session. I was so busy riding every wave that came my way that I didn't have time to choose one. The board I ride is the LOST ` `POCKET ROCKET ''. Not just the front side, He kept lipping to the left many times. After this early morning session, I had to catch a flight back to Japan. Masato had been packing his luggage since the night before, so he immediately headed to Los Angeles Airport. When we arrive in Japan, typhoon waves await us!
