The fiberglass and hex core construction makes it lightweight and provides just the right amount of flex, making it ideal for average Japanese surf. The PLACEBO "LAYZ POTATO-REDUX" DURA FLEX was created when MAYHEM and Nishii looked back through all of PLACEBO's past surfboard models to select the No. 1, and both agreed that this was the REDUX model. MAYHEM has recreated the old LAYZ POTATO model, which served as the base model, by adding the latest updates to the shape design to create a modern version that surpasses the performance of the old model.
