I went to the beach last week and it was sunny for the first time in a while, or maybe it was because the kids' summer vacation had started, but the southern Chiba area was bustling with surfers on a weekday. Amidst the crowds, we saw several families and beginners having fun practicing on PLACEBO ORCA in areas slightly off the peak. This season, many different brands are releasing various types of softboards, but are softboard users really satisfied? Softboards have become popular worldwide, and we often hear stories of people who bought one because they were attracted by the color or the advertising, but then only rode it once and never got around to using it, or because it was quick to take off, so they just left it in the garage at home...If you've ever felt that way, we highly recommend the PLACEBO ORCA !!! The board I was riding at the time was a 5'4" round nose round with fins. Nishii is surfing with the original fins he is currently developing. This fin is a Twin Fin Plus One, which has the same combination as the MR Twin +1. I'm sure you've all known how great the PLACEBO RNR DURA-FLEX5 is since it was released two years ago, but it's the perfect board for testing the fins that Nishii is currently developing, and since I was able to test both tight turns and driving turns on the reef break with its characteristic waves, I wanted to change the shape of the fins a little more. It will probably be a while before it is released, but please look forward to it. It's been a while since I rode the PLACEBO 『RNR』DURA-FLEX5 The round tail effect allowed me to draw a line smoothly even on the backside, and I was able to ride with good flow.
