Team Miyazaki is staying with the Nishii family.

Today, three members of Team Miyazaki stopped by and stayed at the Nishii house on their way back from the selection tournament to decide Japan's representative for the AM World Championships, which was held this weekend at Kitaizumi P in Fukushima Prefecture. Kaji Yoshikazu, still a teenager at 19 years old, came in second place in this tournament and was selected as the representative of BB. Hirosawa Sachiko won the All Japan Championships and this year's selection tournament, becoming the first Japanese Amateur Grand Champion in Ladies' Longboarding in 2007, but it seems there is no Ladies' Longboarding class in the World Championships. Why? What a shame. He's a great champion who uses his own chopsticks. Noda is the Japan Championship Men's Longboard Champion. He also filmed the DVDs that Nishii has appeared in in the past, He is also a cameraman who filmed and edited the recent Mentawai DVD. After checking out Nishii's longboards, he ordered an extremely lightweight competition/maneuver board made by Lost Longboard EPS. Next year's Amateur World Championship will be held in Portugal. Good luck to all the national team players!

2008 New Model "5FIN SHARK"

...LOST Surfboard 2008 New Model Details of "5FIN SHARK" announced!!! The 5FIN SHARK is a versatile model that allows you to ride both tri-fins and quads on the same board. It is primarily aimed at intermediate surfers who have moved beyond the beginner level, and is best suited to boards that are 2-4 inches shorter and 1 inch wider. It features a wide tail and pointed nose, but the rounded, wide-nose outline features a shallow concave that extends to the front fin, then doubles to a vee at the back stance. A double-winged, round-pin tail is standard. The double wings instantly react to wave changes and prevent sliding. This board is also fun for advanced riders, and Ryan Carson and Shen Besschen often use it in small waves. Chris Ward used this 5FIN SHARK for barreling in Tahiti. The original Shark's low entry and steeply angled rails from the flat deck enhance control. Another defining feature of this board is its fast paddling.

Introducing the new Lost model for 2008!

It's coming again! Lost 2008 new model! The Gullwing It's neither a fish nor a standard shortboard, but somewhere in between. This board has a flat deck, a wide-point nose, and a widest point in the center of the outline. The distinctive single wing, with a rounded center, creates a gull-wing tail, making it easy to control the board at high speeds. We recommend a board length that is 2-3 inches shorter. FCS 5-fin specification.

The GAME Contest

THE GAME Contest I went to The GAME Contest, held at the Ohara Parking Lot in Minamiboso, Chiba Prefecture. This annual user contest is jointly hosted by Moonrise Garage, an authorized retailer of Lost & Prestige, and Cobra. This was the fifth time it has been held. Mr. Koroishi of Moonrise Garage and Mr. Fujita (front), owner of Cobra Although it was offshore, the conditions were close out, so while waiting, We managed to hold the event. While we were waiting, we were served delicious clam chowder. There will also be an exhibition and test ride of new LOST surfboard models. Can Rider Hiroki of Love Surf get out of the current direction? The test role. The person holding the microphone is Toku-san, who was supposed to be the cameraman but somehow ended up becoming the MC. The waves were big and many surfers were unable to get out or had to ride at all, but even in such conditions, talented surfers won and took home prizes. Because some people had withdrawn, the heats were rearranged. The event was completed successfully thanks to the combined efforts of both the organizers and the players. Today, he came to the THE GAME contest. Thanks to all the competitors, judges and everyone involved. Sponsors Let's do it again next year!

LOST Surfboard 2008 New Model

Introducing one of the new 2008 LOST surfboard models. MONK and ROCKET have already been introduced on the site, A model called THE COMP4 will be released. A QUAD version of Whiplash is now available. The nose and tail are slightly wider and 4 fins are built in. A favorite of Michael & Mason Ho and Shane Beschen. This is the board Chris Ward used when he won the MVP award at the X-Games. The SD4 seems easier to ride, but I like boards with thinner rails. Personally, I'm a QUAD freak, so as a main board, I really want to ride this COMP4 board.

Chris Ward backside surfing.

Chris Ward's backside surfing, available on YOU TUBE/LOST TV. This video was filmed with realistic waves about chest-sized, and is a great example for Japanese surfers, so be sure to check it out. He connects maneuvers in one turn without any unnecessary board movement on the backside. When going from the bottom to the top, the lead of swinging your left arm up from under you causes the board to rise vertically, and this movement is very helpful as it repeats in the same way. It's also helpful to note that when you reach the top, you turn your head down, which also causes the board to turn higher than your body. By doing rail work like this, you can get deep from the bottom and rise to the top, allowing you to surf a long line without any wasted line. If you're not good at backside surfing, be sure to try this out.
