ASR Trade Show Report.
This is a new sign that was installed on the trestle. Today we surfed upper section, the waves were like this. This is a report from the ASR trade show in San Diego. We also spotted Pinky, the art director of Presebo! This is Lost's latest fish board! Shane B personally explained the board to us. SHANE BESHEN FISH FIVE STAR MODEL The tail is shaped like a round diamond (pseudonym). This is MONK FISH, which has been added to the QUAD lineup since 2008. STEVE from LOST gave us an explanation. And here is the PRO-4, which will also be added to the QUAD lineup in 2008. This is the QUAD version of WHIPLASH, which promises higher performance than the SD4. And now, the long-awaited product! 4FIN-SHARK's EPS Parabolic Stringer. A row of lost boards. The highlight of this exhibition is the art, hand-painted by Roy Gonzales. Lost Girl will stamp the planet on passersby. Ryan Carlson spotted! The tee he's wearing is amazing! It says, "I heard Lost bought Rusty!" A team of surf buyers from Murasaki Sports was also there. People who are serious about the surf business in Japan come to this trade show. Those who understand the importance of coming to this show will support the future of Japan's surf business.

Nishii is now heading to Narita and will be heading to California. There is an international exhibition of LOST & PLACEBO going on, To watch Boost Mobile Pro. There are strong winds in the Kanto region due to the typhoon, so I'm worried about flying. But I just got an email from Mayhem saying that the waves have been great for days and the weather is nice and warm. I'm looking forward to it. I'm sure right now, WCT surfers are taking turns surfing at Lower Trestle to get in shape before the contest. Well, the new riding movie has been released. If you haven't seen it yet, please check it out! GORKIN Aaron Cormican: Board used: 5'10" AC-PRO This footage was filmed entirely on waves in Japan. The first point with the tetrapods in the background is the All Japan P in Irago, Aichi Prefecture. The scene changes to a shore break at Terasawa P. When Irago's beach break closes out due to a typhoon or other reason, waves form, and deep tubes and double tubes are created on the inside right side of the tip of the P. Gorkin is able to effortlessly control his own Presebo model, the 5'10" AC-PRO, perfectly handling everything from janky waves to typhoon-like barrel rides. What we want you to see in this riding video in particular is its excellent speed performance in janky small waves. This is because Presebo's Flexlite structure flexes softly, increasing speed with each turn the rider makes, increasing the chances of landing advanced tricks like airs. Watch and study how Gorkin uses the waves in small waves over and over again. Even in janky waves, he makes maximum use of the up and down of the wave and the power zone to turn and gain speed. Were you able to ride the typhoon waves? I went surfing at the reef in Zushi in the morning, and went to an exhibition in the afternoon. I went to the RVCA exhibition, which was being held in a suite at the Shinagawa Grand Prince Hotel. I have been in negotiations with CEO Shimomura and sales representative Murata about a team rider contract. Both parties are moving forward with the team rider issue, so I may join the Rooker team. I will announce it on my blog once it is decided. There are charismatic riders from the same generation as Archie and Christian, as well as Gorkin from Presebo, and Casey, who I recently became friends with, is also a team rider. I am also positively considering joining the Rooker team. This is a part of LUCA's Spring/Summer 2008 collection. Of course, they will be available in Love Surf stores from next spring, so please look forward to them.

Well, here you go!! --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- What fins should I put on my quad surfboard? This is a question we get asked frequently in surf shops around the world. There is no single way to achieve high performance. For those who are planning to purchase a quad surfboard First, choose a surfboard equipped with FCS for the following reasons: 1. FCS is the lightest fin system in the world. 2. This allows the board to naturally balance exactly as the shaper intended. 3. FCS uses two small plugs to secure the fin, resulting in a very natural tail flex. The long, stiff, heavy boxes used in other fin systems can negate the natural tail flex performance and result in a heavy, static feel. 4. Using other heavy systems will shift the board's center of gravity more than 6cm towards the tail (a position the shaper doesn't want). For those who already own a quad surfboard with FCS It depends on what fins you're using now and what you want to improve about your surfboard. With new quad design variations being developed and more options being offered, the choice can be difficult. Here's an easy way to choose: 1. First, attach the side of your usual tri-fin to the front of the quad. M3, M5, M7, etc. 2. If your quad is equipped with an FCS center plug on the rear, try the following fins. Weight 45kg or less GS center fin etc. Weight 45kg to 65kg SF4 rear fin etc. Weight 60kg-80kg GX center fin etc. Weight 75kg or more ~ G1000 center fin etc. Please note that this setting is only applicable when an FCS center plug is installed. If an FCS side plug is installed on the rear, please use a single foil fin of the same size as above. First, let's try surfing with this! NOTE: Quads are designed for a different surfing style than thrusters. You can't pivot on one foot like you can on a thruster. You maintain speed by shortening the arc (the radius of the turn) and by accelerating as you come out of the arc. You can accelerate out of the turn like you can on a thruster. You also accelerate more at the top of the turn. What is the condition of the board? Very good = Keep riding! Tail tends to slip off = Try a slightly larger back fin set. Tail heavy = try a smaller set of back fins. If your board is not picking up much speed, try a larger front fin. Can't turn well = Try smaller front and back fins. This is a basic guide to tuning a quad. Every surfer, board, and condition is different, so there is no one-size-fits-all rule. Many shapers choose different fin placements and tail designs for their quads. Experimenting for yourself will help you reach your performance level and develop a better understanding of the best performing surfboard and fin combinations. At FCS, we believe it's important that surfers understand which fins work best for them and why. The side fins you use on your thruster may also work on a quad, so you don't need to buy a new quad set. Sometimes the back fins will do the trick. Every surfer has their own preferences for the best fins for a quad, and FCS offers a number of quad-specific sets, including the S25, SF4, and PC5/GXQ. What's best for you will vary depending on the conditions, your ability, and your body size relative to the board. It's important not to assume that packaged quads are your only option. There may be more fin designs than surfboard designs. With so many options, you're sure to find the right fin for you. Apparently, Mayhem named him MONK. It appears that a new QUAD fish shape has been designed. The tail is quite wide and has a QUAD setting. The nose is not round, but a wide point nose. This riding image shows Ward test riding the Monk in Nicaragua. Amazingly, this board is only 5'8" long and yet it seems to be able to ride this wave. Of all the boards I brought on this trip, this is the shortest, but it also has the fastest takeoff, so even at this size He commented that he rode this Monk. The Ward is a short, fish-style board that's great for riding deep waves and looks cool.

At the request of BCM, we held a surfing school in Torami, Chiba. First, warm-up exercises, The waves were so strong that they made my knees and thighs weak, As they applied for this project, the students are physically fit. There were also a lot of waves. After lunch, Physical training by Coach Sato on the 2nd floor of THE GARDEN. During the afternoon round, participants were given the opportunity to try out each of the Precebos, which were suited to their height, weight and level. I was looking at US Transworld magazine. There were some amazing sequence photos published, so I wanted everyone to see them, so I'm posting them here! Take a good look at this series of photos!! Ward is riding the QUAD Shark and doing air. Kick your front leg forward, Grasp the lower rail with your left hand, Returning to the original position and landing. He's doing some incredible tricks. I wish I could do this kind of technique! Mr. G, a promising young man from Hachijojima, is taking part in a contest this weekend on the island. He purchased the SD2 Parabolic Stringer XTR5.C. Mr. G, who started his surfing training in Chiba with the aim of going pro, broke his fin in the small waves at the All Japan surfing contest held in Niijima, and came to choose a board for this weekend's contest. After comparing it with the SD3, WCT, and PSYCHO WARD models of the same size, he chose the SD2. Last year you came in second, good luck in this weekend's contest!
